I have paid no attention to my appearance for too long so New Year and all that. Have booked for an eyebrow wax tomorrow, and if I like them and going to book in for a return visit before I leave so that I have to stick to it. What else should I book in for on a regular basis (what's part of a good routine?)
Have also booked to go to a hairdresser for the first time in a year, maybe longer. Have no idea what to ask for so need some tips. My hair is long, thin and prone to greasiness. I'd love to be able to wear it down more (can't at the moment as it just sits there, looking a bit flower-power man) so it needs some shape, but not a style that requires a lot of fiddling or products. Any suggestions? I'm also going to book my return appointment before I leave.
I'm nervous, but it's long overdue and I feel good having booked the appointments. I figure if I book the next ones when I'm in there I might get into more of a routine and not have to get to crunch point each time!
The only thing I have done on a semi regular basis is my nails. A few times a year.
Last year got my 30th I was treated to a haircut (expensive one!) and a pedicure. I wish I'd kept them up because my hair and feet are shit again and it's embarrassing to keep turning up with a really unkempt body
Eyebrow threading is much better than waxing (I've done both). If you are near a Blink Brow bar, you cannot go wrong to go there. I go every 6 weeks.
I cannot advise you on hair as I have very different hair to yours (mine is thick and curly). A good hairdresser should be able to advise you on a minimum maintenance style. If you have any grey, do colour it.
Lots of threads on nails, my routine is manicure once a month to get cuticles done, file weekly with Leighton Denny crystal file, apply OPI nail envy, nail polish only if I have time. One or two more coats of nail envy mid week, takes 2 minutes. I give myself a pedicure every 3 weeks, use flexitol heel balm every other night.
