White vinegar will get the smell out but there might not be enough time to wash it before tonight

Also i have hinted that her deoderant/ anti perspirant doesn't work so well. She's very sensitive ( and really nice). It's black so talc can't be used. Aghhhhh!

You just can't wear a smelly dress. There must be something else you can put on for tonight, surely?

If it smells, there's no way to get rid without washing it. Can you dry it on a radiator, or even iron it dry if you really don't have an alternative.

Don't tumble dry - stick it over a hot radiator for a couple of hours.

Thanks for all your help. Washed it and tumbledried it in a pillowcase on the lowest of the 2 heat settings i have. A little damp around the neck but it was fine.
