And i need a new one

It short circuited lots of sparks smoke and drama

Any recommendations?

I used to have a professional one and am now seeing cheap hair dryers as a false economy.

Thanks

Oaty - had never considered the popcorn maker! Lol! Did it work?

I had a hairdryer burst into smoke once. Afterwards I used my popcorn-making machine to dry my hair until getting a new hairdryer for Christmas.

I bought dd the GHD for Christmas , glad to hear it is good for the mug price I paid.

The parlux is a good job

But ds says its too warm!

Thanks Valium - great advice

Will have to remember that when I use it on ds hair too!

Handy tip - keep it moving, it is REALLY powerful and will fry your hair if you leave it one place for too long. You need to do the hairdresser's trick of blow drying on hot and then giving it a shot of cool.

I've quite fine hair so I thought the 3200 would be ample reading the reviews as it would give me time to try and style it

Can't wait to use it

Am sad sad person blush

valiumredhead Sat 17-Nov-12 21:00:13

My hair is really thick and the 3200 i smote than enough power.

Seriously impressed

I ordered the new parlux dryer yesterday lunchtime

It arrived today and I'm in far flung bit of the uk.

Dh think I should have gone for the 3800 but I think the 3200 is ample.

Oh and I went for purple!

MeDented Fri 16-Nov-12 21:29:21

Ooh thanks Chablis I just ordered one off there for DD for Christmas. She's nearly 12 and asked for a decent hair dryer because hers is rubbish and takes forever to dry her long hair. It's expensive but I figure it should get a lot of use through her teens.

Plus I use it on ds and he would refuse a pink one - too girly

valiumredhead Fri 16-Nov-12 21:14:05

Black is never wrong!

ChablisLover Fri 16-Nov-12 18:25:51

Got plain black - boring I know but I like black blush

ChablisLover Fri 16-Nov-12 15:19:35

ChablisLover Fri 16-Nov-12 11:57:34

bump shamlessly

ChablisLover Fri 16-Nov-12 10:47:23

wheres the best (cheapest) place to buy them online?

Thanks

valiumredhead Fri 16-Nov-12 10:40:46

Parlux parlux parlux -they are amazing and there is a reason hairdressers use them. You won't need more than 3200 for home use - it's much bigger than it looks on the screen - there is nothing compact about it - it's a full size drier.

ChablisLover Fri 16-Nov-12 10:23:31

I am in a quandry

Dont know whether to buy a parlux and if so what model a 3200 or a 3800

or do i buy an ETI from Sally at £42

I wish I had this indecision issue over shoes!
