Have been invited to a body shop party and was thinking of purchasing a few make up items as I'm not that keen on body washes etc. does anybody recommend body shop make up? Many thanksxx
They seem to be constantly discontinuing things at the moment, but their kabuki brushes are very good if you wear mineral make-up. I did like their eyeshadows but they seem to have discontnued half their range - the ones I liked were baked shadows that looked kind of swirly in the pan.
A couple of summers ago they used to do these 4 eyeshadows each in their seperate cube in a square. They all really worked well if you used one as all over, one for the lower lid and one for the corners. Have no idea if they are still for sale.
I also really like their concealer it is the closest thing to touche elat that Iv'e found.
Wow is it really brandy? I used to use ysl touché éclat. Now I'm a sham it's er not a priority. Will definitely invest in one of those then. Have you tried their new foundation it changes colour with your skin apparently? Don't really wear eyeshadow but will recommend if it's good. Thanksxx
It wasn't as good as but it was better then the rest. They also had this face spritz thing on the vitE skin care range to keep your makeup on.
I have their BB cream and really like it, you kind of have to get used to it not giving you that immediate matt finish but once it's settled in I think it's lovely.
I'm sure you're not a sham op, don't be so hard on yourself
I love their matte foundations, smells gorgeous.
I like their eyeliners. I've got black, brown, navy & royal blue.
I like BodyShop mascara- mainly because it's one of the only brands where they are sealed .
I got married wearing BodyShop make-up (I did my own make-up and I think I looked lush
).
The lipstick was a beautiful shade , just a bit darker than my natural lip shade........
<<aaah memories>>
Lo at sham. You know what I mean sahm darn auto correct! So looks like I'm taking the cheque book and buying a few bits.....lush
I have their BB. Cre, primer and also they have a good lip/cheek stain.
Make up brushes are also good.
I love their body butter but not so much body scrub. It's OK but prefer soap & glory.
BB cream that should say!
I love their blushers but when I recently popped in to replenish mine I discovered that they have discontinued the more muted, natural colours that I wear and have opted to go for very bright colours this season. I managed to grab the last 2 of the old stock that were on sale in my local store!
I use their entire aloe vera range on my face - cleanser, toner, moisturiser and under eye cream. Its very gentle on sensitive skin and contains minimal nasties.
Their make up brushes are very good and last for years.
Body butter is good and so is the Aloe skin care range - fantastic stuff!
Eyebrow pencils are excellent.
Their block bronzer is brilliant and I second the block of 4 eyeshadows is brilliant.
I did a stint doing Body Shop parties when DS1 was a baby. My favourite products are:
The make up brushes
Lip and cheek stain - fantastic - despite the scary colour of it, it looks quite natural on!
Eyeliner pencils - go on very smoothly.
I also love the body butters - they make your skin feel soft and moisturised all day - far better than other body moisturisers I've used.
I like the cube eyeshadows. Their touche eclat rip off is good too
They do shimmer brick blushers - rip off from Bobbi Brown. I really like the rose coloured one, although you have to use sparingly in the daytime.
