About to buy myself some new knee high boots
Liking these

and fancy wearing skirts and boots.
Anyone seen any nice winter skirts out there? Im not normally a skirt kinda gal so this is kinda out of my comfort zone. Thinking a cord and a denim skirt.

Fatface have a very nice cord skirt (knee length with buttons down the front). Think it comes in blue and red. Also they have a denim skirt, which is similar.

I've hunted high and low for my perfect denim skirt this autumn and found it at Weird Fish. Try Ness, Mistral and Boden too for cord skirts.

This is where you can get knee length denim skirts this season. Believe me, I have hunted to the point of obsession:

Boden - £45 - zip to short to get on without a lot of wriggling.
Tresspass - £11 in clearance - even XL tooa small and I'm only a 14!
Crew Clothing - £60 - too short
Fat face - don't want buttons down front
Debenhams -£35, only on line - fake pockets! I need real pockets!
Weird Fish - perfect, £40. Right length, colour, stretchiness, fit, price. Have had it 4 days and been wearing it for 3 of them!

You really have hunted for your perfect skirt, Bike. You've inspired me to take a look at Weird Fish!

You made the Wierd Fish denim skirt sound like my holy grail there Bike so much so that I just went and bought it!
And for anyone else that likes the sound of it, it appears to be reduced until Sunday, was only £29....

karmabeliever that blue one is exactly what I've been looking for! (Although I'm now thinking maybe the tan would look nicer with the tweed jacket I'm coveting)

What are you, wearing with your holy grail of skirts bike?

I'm like op - I'd like to wear skirts more often but they're not quite in my comfort zone!

Bugger! Ah well £11 is a small price to pay for 4 extra days of skirt perfection.

You could buy another one Bike, while it's in the sale - save you having to look again, when you've worn the first one to death!

Stevie, glad you have found what you wanted. I rather like the berry one, but think I will wait until there is a sale. I just bought the Ingrid twist dress for £20 instead of £45 and I know it will bug me if i pay full price for the skirt, then find it on sale in a few weeks!

Cana you tell me how the Wierdfish sizing is? Does it come up big/small, similar to White Stuff?

My name is MorrisZapp and I am addicted to purchasing denim skirts.

I mostly get mine on eBay. I've had some really good unbranded ones over the years, plus various Fat Face etc.

I notice FF sizing seems to have changed lately. It was always v generous, now not so much. Either that or I'm in Malteser binge denial.

Just ordered the denim and the velvet skirt! Thanks Dolly Grin

You're welcome. I didn't order the denim, it has a front zip-no good fot me. Anyone seen a knee length denim with side zip, maybe slightly less A line than the Wierdfish one? Or any winter skirts without a front zip. Like Stevie says, not many winter skirts about.

I'm a skirt person, so on the hunt for new winter styles.

I currently like these:

Have tried this in store and it is longer than on model. Comes to about an inch above the knee, so really good for winter. Nice quality too.

I also have a lovely cord mini from H&M which isn't online now, but still in stores.
