threading - does it make you spotty?

OK so I got my upper lip threaded for the first time a week ago and at first I thought LOVE IT! Cheap, quick and after about 45mins when the redness had gone there was so dryness/soreness which I always get after waxing. However, on day 5 post threading I got 3 horrible spots in a row on one side of upper lip. Now getting the odd spot for me isnt unusual but 3 big ones in a row and right where I was threaded made me think it cant just be coincidence. Dont know if to get it done again for hols in a couple of weeks???....

I get terrible spots after moustache threading/waxing - loads of little whiteheads and the whole area gets sore and red. Makes no difference whether I wax, thread, DIY or salon, the skin's just really sensitive there. Have now decided to leave my poor face alone and just tweeze stray whiskers (most of the hair there is fine and blonde anyway).

it doesn't make spots but your pores will be open donors likely to get bacteria in them.

I've stopped threading for this reason. May well be subjective but it's too depressing to work out if I'm right or wrong. It happened a few times.

I have had this (though waxing is worse than threading for me) what helps is making sure the area is clean first, and afterwards try not to touch it (resist the temptation to run your fingers over to feel how smooth you are :))

I get this too, it is not the cleanest of salons so that would explain it.

Yup, I do. My eyebrows are fine but my upper lip is rubbish. I just bleach it now.

I do but only really if I thread at the time of the month when I am prone to spots anyway.
