Amber you really need to explore options other than FitFlops - perhaps we could branch out into shoe designing as part of our Vogue remit. Public service and all that... Wink.

I wanted to ask you all, what your best buy of last season was? Mine definitely these sandals. Have worn them so often, they add interesting detail to an otherwise plain outfit and they are comfy. Love them!

Right, as part of our new thread netiquette, I hereby ban any further mention of the dreaded FFs

Am thinking of this as a winter work dress. Really good shape for me. Thoughts?

Russianred · 17/08/2012 09:29

Mine was my acid yellow Cos dress - similar shape to the one I just linked, clearly an omen that I should buy it.

Phew, normal service resumes! Yes, it's lovely, Red.

I think my navy Havaianas or navy Me&Em martini dress, boring but I wear them a lot.

red Maybe a bit matronly for you? Could really see you in pencil skirts and lovely silk blouses. Or would that be too dressy?

Good Q fritzi (and lurkers, here's your in) I have a couple. One is these cheapola TS sandals which have been great for giving a pop of colour and making dull outfits a bit more relevant. Another is green Gracie, I loves her.

Oooh, best buy of the season... Hmmm. Probably the olive green me & em dress that I dyed dark green. Have worn it for meals out, work, and even fairly casual with suede ankle boots.

My best buy of A/W will be leather leggings. I am determined.

Amber I am Grin at your mirror mishap and subsequent chair balancing - I sometimes do that with our mantlepiece mirror as the full length one doesn't have very good light.

Speaking of mirrors, I have just bought a magnifying mirror. OMG I am minging!

Ooh, and the De Manta. Even though I have only used it once, I love it more than words can say Grin. I know it will get lots of use over winter party season.

red I mean the winter one in the dark colours. The acid yellow one is fab and the colour makes all the difference I think.

Oh Fritzi is right about these things. Listen to Fritzi! I am too sleep deprived to see straight. Yes you would look lovely in something more suited to you Red.

These Jigsaw tees have to be my best buy. I wear them loads (have pink and blue - colours more vivid than on website) and they still look as good as new.

Red, that dress looks a good shape for you, it's washable and 100% merino, what's not to love. Would you wear it with coloured tights?

Decam, the Me&Em stuff really works for you, you're lucky. I once tried on the fab ruched Me&Em and despite the ruching I still needed another half a body.

Marsha, I love how dedicated you are to your Celine Smile.

The quest for leather leggings is amusing me, I must say Hopefully!

Fritzi silk blouses make me look matronly - it's the cha's cha's you see. Also, need to be able to go without heels as it can be very active. Their website is so misleading - my yellow one was much more fitted and am thinking is will be the same >

My new mulberry bag cause I have never bought myself anything like that before ( black forest del ray)

Now I want some leather leggings and some printed ones - any ideas

And also my search goes on for black skinny jeans when I am size 10 but with rugby player calfs ( which won't help me find the leathers either)
