Ok so I purchased a couple of tops from Marksies online, decided they don't fit right so I want to return them, will I get refunded the whole amount including delivery charge (£3.50) ? Or just the cost of the tops?

Just the cost of tops I would have thought. Have never been refunded delivery charges when returning things.

I think just the cost of the tops, I always do a store collect for this reason.

If within 7 days and if returning every item ordered then you get postage back.

As above, you get postage back if it's within 7 working days since receiving them. This is a legal obligation (distance selling regulations.)

I returned the tops today, which was the whole package, within 7 days & was only refunded for the tops. I feel robbed in a way, £3.50 down the drain, surely delivery costs should be refunded in these cases?

You paid for the convenience of home delivery. It's not their fault you didn't like the clothes.

If you had gone in to the store it would have cost you more in parking and petrol - look at it that it saved you money - -

You've paid for a service - delivery - in addition to the cost of the tops. You received the service therefore you have to pay for it.

Well hang about what about what the others said about p&p being refunded?

Ask again?

They are legally obliged to refund you the postage costs as others have said above:

I was also under the impression that P&P had to be refunded due to distance selling legislation.
However, I returned a handbag to a local Laura Ashley store recently which I'd purchased online and they refused to refund me the postage even though I quoted the 'distance selling regulations' to them. I then wrote to their Head Office to complain but they still wouldn't refund. I couldn't be bothered to pursue the £4 postage through Local Trading Standards but I have never bought anything from Laura Ashley since. I felt a bit robbed as well.

Yes, you should have received the postage back if it was within 7 days. I have had this refunded when returning by post or when taking back to store.
