What's that magical homemade vitamin C face potion I keep hearing about?

...and how do you make it? Is it literally crushed vit C tablets mixed with water?

Has anyone tried it and does it really work? I desperately need something to help my tired, grey skin!

I know vitamin C is ascorbic acid (schoolgirl biology!), and lots of people seem to rave about putting acid on your face ... Don't know how to achieve it with vitamin C pills though. Anyone?

I think I read a thread where someone said they mixed up vit c (ascorbic acid) powder with aloe Vera gel and put it on as a face mask.

Found some vit c powder in holland and Barrett so will try it out when get the chance and report back...(with glowing skin hopefully!)
