Silk Pillowcases - They Work!!!

I am a couple of months into using a silk pillowcase. They work. My face looks less crumpled in the morning and my hair is not so tangled. Last night slept at DP's sans pillow and my face had that awful smooshed-cos-I-was-lying-on-one-side look, with a lovely crease next to my right eye.
Cant wait to get back to my own lovely pillow tonight.

I'm 42 btw. Best £13 I ever spent.

Yep, massively agree - bought mine 2 years ago on eBay - a pair for £18, not one smooshed hangovery face since then.

Yep, me too. Have been using for about 4 years - Makes a massive difference to morning face and hair and feels soooo lovely!

My pillow is also silk-filled (and my duvet) - makes such a difference if you are inclined to overheat in the night.

ooooh interesting - my hair is in dreadful condition due to a hairdresser disaster, wonder if a silk pillowcase might help...

Silk-filled pillow and duvet Envy Envy

Have made myself a pillow case from an old dress today. I hope I will see/feel a difference. DH was unhappy he doesn't have one. I told him to shut up stop being silly, he is aging well Smile.

I always feel that I've been terribly hedonistic and decadent in buying them, but that's because I'm a child of the eighties and remember programmes like Dynasty, where every character seemed to have silk sheets and Alexis would always be wafting about in a silk peignoir even though I'm not exactly sure what that is

They're the business. I've had one from eBay for super bargain price and I've recently had a more expensive one but can't tell any difference to the cheap eBay one

Oh poop i just threw away some silk material, there would have been enough to make at least a one sided pillowcase.

Got my pillow and duvet when menopause hit (am old gimmer!) and I was going into meltdown every night. Silk keeps you cool in summer and warm in winter and was a lifesaver for me.

This site was much cheaper than others and have been v pleased with mine - I use the summerweight duvet all year round and I have no heating in my bedroom!

Will try to do links (am new)

Pillow

Duvet

I got my pillowcases from same site but can't afford silk sheets so stick to cotton.

Have just ordered a pillowcase from eBay. Been thinking about looking for one for years as my hair gets so matted tangled at night. Fingers crossed it works wonders! Thanks for the push.

Coolish. Not really any different than other pillowcases IME.
