any hair pros out there who have had them?? I've got jaw lenght bob, so bored or it, seems to take ages to grow and just want to try a new length to see if I really do want to grow it at all!! I'm a low maintance girl so don;t do lots of hair care products time on drying etc just blast and go, so would having extensions require more time???

anyone had them has them or advice on going for it???

I'm no expert on them, but I bought some clip in extensions just to see what I thought of them! I just wanted them for volume so bought the same length as my own hair, they look quite effective but they do take some work (if I just clip them in and do nothing they look obviously fake). I paid around £30, but you would need a lot more hair if it's for length so they don't look like rat tails hanging down Smile

I wash and dry my hair, then clip them in and straighten everything (real hair and extensions). They look good until DH forgets and runs his hand through my hair, catches the chips and pulls them out Hmm but as long as that doesn't happen they look good all evening, just have to remember to remove them before bedtime!

I have had clip and great length bonded ones. Both good. The bonded ones are better for everyday. But cost alot. The were really good. People never guessed they were extensions. I had a long bob and went just below the shoulder.

Ahh extensions, I'm a big fan I have been for years.
I had a bob like you and I brought micro loop ones that stay in for a year but need to be re tightened every three months. A lot less hassle than clip ins if your in a rush. I also have clip ins too and there just as good but you have to remove them before bed.
Hair extensions can be low maint. As long as you get them cut to blend with your hair, then there's no need for spray ect.

My first set lasted 6 months. Probably would have lasted a few more weeks but I want longer ones. I have 4 sets altogether. Really low maintenance, I felt. I am going to some more but for thickness as my hair is long now. I didn't notice any damage as is sometimes reported. You have to make sure you go to someone who knows what they are doing. I picked great lengths over racoon as great lengths are pre bonded and shed less.

I need to do some more research in my location to find a good place, sounds like a great plan - I did think they only stayed in for 3 months and have spoken to one hairdressers who can get real hair and super expensive ones or the lower end cheaper ones and do the bonding, they said that my hair length is perfect for extensions. So I may give it a go!

Next question which sounds odd, but do people around you notice?? It's a funny one but I guess I want them done for myself as I'd like to speed up my lenght and see if I do actually want to grow my hair.

The only people who knew they were extensions were people who knew and had seen me go from a bob to long I was talking to a woman at a works do once and she was saying that she could always tell when people have extensions. She was so surprised when I told her mine were. When I had them removed I had people that I didn't know that well at work telling me that I shouldn't have had all my lovely hair cut off. The quality of the hair is really important. It lasts longer, without getting tatty and looks more natural. My hairdresser advised anywhere between 3-6 months, depending on your hairs natural growth, shedding and if you look after them. If you naturally loosed alot of hair then they won't last as long. I think I have lost one in the entire time I have had them.
