Small boobs...

AIBU to think that I could find a bra that is uplifting, but not wodged full of foam, which will be flattering on those of us who are not overendowed on the boobicular area?
At the moment it either looks like I'm completely flat chested, or have two bean bags shoved down there.

I am struggling to find a bra that's pretty and supportive. Any recommendations?

Thanks Sorrelthanks
will report back tomorrow, hopefully with good results.

If anyone is interested I have a voucher for Figleaves that I'm not going to use so would be happy to sell on? It lasts until January, it's for £56 I think.

Have just tried a 32b (couldn't find a 30b) and no gaping cup like my 34a and 34aa bras all have. Amazing.

HazleNutt Fri 01-Feb-13 07:14:39

Jonquille try also E, FF, G - it's not an exact science and also different brands can be sized a bit differently.

SorrelForbes Fri 01-Feb-13 08:39:33

blueberry. If the cup in 32B is ok then in a 30 band you'll probably need a C!

Didn't have time to go bra shopping today. But looming for an excuse to leave dc with dh tomorrow grin grin

Sorrel Forbes- you are a bra genius. I am in the midst of bra shopping but have already now purchased a 30DD that fits beautifully- no more pain, and no bulges at the armpi/ four noob effect t- all a bit different from the 34 A I have been wearing for years! Thank you so much for all the fab advice on this thread, I feel and look a lot better ( though my credit card has a large dent in it!)

Have to agree my 32a bras came today and fit perfectly. To think I spent so many years thinking I was 34aa.

Brilliant news! So glad my bossiness advice has helped you!

I've just found this amazing thread since posting a message about my measurements earlier. I have a feeling it will change my life, or at least my bra buying anyway.
They are 29 under ( but 28 if I pull the tape measure quite tight) how tight should it be?
34 over, but 34.5 if it is a bit looser.
A kind person has responded that I should try a 30E which is quite shocking (have lived a life of 36a, 34b only recently thought of a 32c which chops them in half) what would you lovely experts advise?
desperate to go shopping now but can't get anywhere before Saturday and will need to have dc's in tow even then.

HazleNutt Tue 05-Feb-13 15:59:33

You should be somewhere around 28DD or E

HazleNutt Tue 05-Feb-13 16:01:40

Ah I see you mention that 32C is too small in cups - as that's the same cup size as 28DD, you would need to go up, so start with E and F.

I've just found this thread after reading the new one.
I'e been wearing badly fitting 34C's but have just measured and its 32.5 bottom and 38 stood up or 39 bending down.
That would make me a 32F/G?

JamInMyWellies Wed 06-Feb-13 21:10:41

Copying from the other bra thread, apologies.

Sorrel are you there?

So have measured with a bit of string and DH's mansized measuring metal stick thing. grin

I am a 31 underneath and if I stand bent over at 90degrees I am a 34 round the fattest part of my boob. But I have absolutely no plumpness above the nipple area.

So what size am I?

SorrelForbes Wed 06-Feb-13 21:15:47

blibblibs Yes, try a 32F, 32FF (but you may need a G!)

SorrelForbes Wed 06-Feb-13 21:20:17

JamInMyWellies I'm here! I like your measuring style, it shows committment grin.

OK, try a 30D and a 30C. You may possibly need a 32 back but I doubt it. Do the trying on back to front thing first to check that you are either a 30 or a 32 and then work out the cup. If you find a 30 unbearably tight (when done up back to front) then try a 32 in a B and a C. I bet you're a 30D

JamInMyWellies Wed 06-Feb-13 21:25:58

Thankyou so much. Have a wine brew biscuit thanks DS2 is now going to be dragged to debenhams tom afternoon. Am sure he will be delighted.

SorrelForbes Wed 06-Feb-13 21:30:32

Ooh, thanks, don't mind if I do. Good luck tomorrow. Remember, if they mention anything about adding inches to your underbust measurement, run!

blibblibs Thu 07-Feb-13 13:08:25

Thank you thanks
I know what I'll be doing on saturday!

JeeanieYuss Tue 12-Feb-13 09:02:11

Hi Sorrel, just to update I tried on all the sizes you mentioned, about 20 bras n styles, I am a 34E, the d's, dd's and 32e were all too small or I had back fat etc etc.. So I realised I obviously just needed to go up one and bingo, it was perfect.
Think the sales assistant was glad when I was finished ;)
I also got the balcony style as I'm bottom heavy and they now look great, so pert, lol, so thanks again for that advice too!

I got one dark one, a white one and a pretty dusky pink one so I am kitted out for under all colour clothes grin

Any bra geniuses out there? When measured I can be anything from a 36dd to a 40f!

I just measured myself im 35inches under the bust and 41inches ariund the fullest part.

HELP!

Blast from the thread past! Try a 34f, 34,e, 36e, 36dd. More likely the 34f

fuckinginanelevator Fri 01-Mar-13 18:06:54

I like to revive old threads wink

fuckinginanelevator Fri 01-Mar-13 18:07:22

And thank you. Will give it a try x

Sorry to ask another question but my daughter wants to know what size bra she should be wearing, shes a 'tween' and in that awkward phase of having boobs and none of her friends have!
Shes really slim, her underneath measurement was 22 cms and her over measurement was 25 cms..

Do bras exist in that size? Or is she stuck with her New Look / Primark crappy ones.. (Her choice, not mine btw..) grin
