I love the s&b thread on mums net and I'm getting better at looking after myself as a result but is there a mag you can recommend? I currently subscribe to Delicious which is great but I want something for me! (I am 41 btw so that may influence your recommendation!) Smile

I always found the Bridal mags to be good, usually come with a voucher for a free manicure, blow dry, facial, make over, voucher for a cosmetic etc. Plus it's all geared to natural groomed look.

Newby Hands works for Harpers Bazaar and I always found her colums good. I think she is on twitter too.

I will look her up. Never thought of a blog rather than a mag. Bridal mags also something I've not considered.

I love vogue and red magazines! In fact I am sad enough to look forward to their arrival each month......

I'm a tiny bit older than you and a complete magaholic, but the one's I like the best are Red and Vogue so I have subscriptions to both. I buy Prima but only because I sew and there's a free pattern you have to call up for, Elle which is hit and miss, Marie Clare - oh all of them really. Red is the one I think most aimed at our age group without assuming we're all frumpy.

I am 41 and subscribe to Vogue. I love it. I can't afford half the clothes in there but I love the photography, the ideas, and the articles and feel very inspired by it.

I don't particularly care for Elle or Red and I've never knowingly bought Harpers Bazaar. Marie Claire gets read very occasionally. I do buy Glamour because it is cheap, handy size for the handbag, and has fun fashion. I do find, though, that half the articles don't apply to me and I end up skim reading a lot.
