Lately when I have pulled up a couple of pairs of jeans they have ripped below one of the belt loops. Annoying but no big deal. Just been to the loo and there is a massive hole along the crotch seam Shock. I have done the school run and the food shop in crotch flashing jeans .

Please help me as these were newish jeans and now I need to replace them.

I am 40, trying to lose 2 stone, SAHM and no idea what style I need. Last time I asked for jeans help I bough Gap curvy jeans but can't get into them so need another suggestion please. I am on a budget of about £40 as a maximum.

Thanks all you clever, stylish people.

I love Dorothy Perkins jeans, 2 pairs for £25 so I got a pair of skinnies and a pair of kick flare. They have a few different styles and colours though.

I think my legs are too fat for skinnies Sad. Are kick flare jeans like bootcut or something new for me to learn?

What size are you? I think with the right top for your size most people can wear skinny jeans TBH.

I'll second Dorothy Perkins jeans. I bought an ultra skinny pair the other day, they are lovely. Very stretchy, not too low, and nice and soft. Cheap too!

Btw - I'm a 14 and wear skinnies, even when I was an 18 I did tbh, just with longer tops :)
I find that when I wear other styles it actually makes me look bigger with the extra fabric! Worth a go anyway

I have very fat, unshapely calves. I am a size 16 now on top and a 14 on bottom but 2 stone over weight. I would really appreciate any links to the actual jeans if you have time so I know exactly what I am looking for.

On another issue, my split jeans are 3 months old if that, can I take them back for a refund as surely they should last longer than that?

I have gone back to Great Plains they are fab, soft and rugged. I go between 12 and 14 but actually have far more 14 days and their bootleg and their straight leg in dark denim are imo very lovely and flattering. Picked some up in the sale recently for £41.

Another fan of DP jeans here. I have to get them in an 8 though, otherwise they fall down ( I am a 10 normally)

these are the DP jeans. I have fat calves and cankles, and the skinnies have some stretch and look fine.

I'd be taking the other ones back, and getting my money back!

Got some lovely new look ones - I usually have gap curvy but also can't fit into my size 14s! wanted some skinnies so got these for £12

They are nice but tight round the calves... might want to try the straigh leg version?

If you find that you have a gape at the waist at the back of your jeans then the best ones available to deal with that are Oasis Scarlet - they currently have £15 off so are within your budget. They are a bootleg style and the indigo are the most flattering.

Thank you.

I forgot and binned the others but I think I will get them back as nothing else is in the bin with them.

Where did you get the others? Have a look on their website and see what their policy is, just for preparation, but I would take them back. 3 months is rubbish for jeans.
And have you tried Uniqlo for jeans. Plenty of styles and not too expensive. I love their skinnies especially the ones without too much lycra!

The split jeans are M & S and New Look.

I got a pair from DP today. The £15 ones. I didn't love them but they will do for now. I am trying to lose weight so don't want to pay a lot for jeans until I have got the fat off.
