Spotted a pair of jeans in a sale online that I want to buy BUT the size guide has me totally confused. They are 'low rise' (but not super low) skinny jeans. I am an 8-10 but according to the size guide if I order the size 10 to fit my waist (28 inches) then the hips will be 4 INCHES too big and if I order the 8 to fit my hips (34) then the waist will be 3 inches too small.
I am NOT an odd shape, just a bit skinny, and I refuse to believe that my hips are a smaller size than my waist.
Is the size guide lying to me? Or is that why they're in the sale?!

Buying jeans online - is waist or hip measurement more important? And which size should I order?
