elemis marine cream - why the variations in price?

i know this stuff gets rave reviews but ive been googling and it seems to come in various packaging from different sites....the price ranges from forty odd pounds to over a hundred pounds.

ive found a 50ml salon size tube for 48....is it the same stuff? im wary of parting with my cash before i know what the differences are.

Hoping Mrs.Martin picks up on this ( she's a wonder with all her info) and really loves her Elemis Marine cream. Am awaiting with interest.

Ditto here. Am still trying to get her wonderful elemis qvc deal to go through the til. Not sure if they just don't have it in stock. But she is a mine of information on elemis!!!

Here I am Grin

Thaks for thinking of me ladies :) Thanks

I don't work in a salon so I couldn't tell you for sure if it would come in a tube for salon use. Retail prices are generally (approx) £48 for 30ml, £75 for 50ml and you can get special 100ml pots for £100

Alot of people sell it on ebay - typically you will get a new 30ml jar for about £25-30

The link to the deal on qvc is this one which is showing as in stock - it should go straight through the checkout.

I've just got it!! Don't know why it wouldn't work for me previously. Its just a fabulous deal. Please keep up the good work of alerting to bargains!!! Am wondering what the hand cream will be like!

Slightly off topic, but I have just got home after having an Elemis facial. It was so lovely I may make the switch from Clarins!

The hand cream is the only thing I don't like - it is a matte finish and has an odd texture imo - it has had some great reviews though.

jasper I give myself a tri enzyme facial once a week and it is still a joy. Try out the skin nourishing shower creme or the skin nourishing milk bath (the bath milk also makes a great moisturiser) for abit of daily luxury.

I have ordered the QVC bundle.

It is good value - I think I worked out it would cost £150 for all of the items if bought individually from elemis. The cleanser is my new favourite cleanser (use with a hot cloth) and the monoi oil is my desert island body product - it smells amazing. The bath elixier is ok - I don't tend to bath too often but I have used it in the shower and it was very moisturising. I have kept one bottle but the rest have gone into my present drawer (I've ordered 6 kits to date!). And I just wouldn't be without PCMC now.

URGENT- have any of you got a QVC introductory offer code I can use please?!

Report
mrsmartin · 18/02/2012 20:58

meta - I've pm'd you but just in case you check back here first - qvc don't do anything like intro discounts

Can the skin nourishing bath milk really be used as a moisturiser? I have acquired a large bottle of the stuff but I prefer to shower rather than bath. Should I just slap it on like a normal body cream?

I got that QVC deal for Christmas, i'm a big fan of the marine cream and the frangipani oil. The bath elixir in that pack is divine too. I love Elemis.

Glad to help tutu Thanks flowers for your b'day!

Ecumenical Yes - Elemis recommend it as an intensive skin treatment to bathe with it everyday for 10 days and then use it as a moisturiser after. I also just use it in the shower as a shower cream (though not as often since they brought out the proper shower cream) - it is very good as a product to shave with.

Just ordered it and then added a nice Nails Inc set too...!

MrsM - it was just something on their front page about an introductory code but maybe it's an old thing.

what sizes does the night cream come in? a quick look on the QVC site seems to only have the 15ml size....

The oxygenating one? That is £92 for 50ml
The best deal I can find for it is this one on qvc which gets you 30ml of pcmc and 30ml of the night cream. It is on easy pay so much kinder to bank balance as I find 30ml lasts about 3 months (so you pay for it as you use it). Everywhere else it is just the standard £92 for 50ml.

Elemis als do the tri-enzyme night cream which I find excellent - I currently alternate it with my decleor night balm and it is still giving me great results. The Tri enzyme range is all about resurfacing the skin so is great for pigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles, random dry/oily patches, pore size etc...my skin has never looked better. I use this kit as it has the tri enzyme wash, which I use twice a day, the night cream (30ml) and the tri enzyme mask (which is worth £45 on its own). I use the mask to give myself a facial once a week - the elemis spa in Mayfair charges £118 for 1 tri enzyme facial and I must get at least 20 from one tube. Also - it is also on easy pay!!

And I thought I would post this link on here too for anyone who loves PCMC but isn't fussed about the other products - 100ml of PCMC and full size bliss caps for £115 and on easy pay (bliss caps are £60 on their own)
