How to keep your hair looking nice all day?

The number one thing when you want to look polished is to have good-looking hair, right? I have long wavy hair which I like, but it ends up looking disheveled after about 30 min each morning. I'm currently not using any specific styling products since I'm allergic to perfume.

So, I'm asking for advice of all you ladies who manage to make your hair look nice on most days -
What are your hair routines, what kind of styling and product do you use?

Good (salon) shampoo, such as Sebastian, Kerastase (pricey but lasts ages) and moroccan oil, which is magic in a bottle Grin

wash with richard ward, put richard ward gravitizer on, leave to dry naturally, brush through, use oil or serum if needed (usually loreal mythic oil). Phillip Kingsley Elasticizer once a week and Hairfix once every 1-2 weeks. My hair is halfway down my back, dyed black and naturally poker straight. If I want it curly I use remington pearl curling wand with no hairspray and the curls last until I wash them out.

Would moroccan oil be too strong for dd (9yrs) hair? I've been drying it for her a lot recently (thick hair which stays damp for ages - it's too cold to leave) and I've noticed her hair is looking quite dry now.

I use two pumps on DS's hair, coz he's all trendy like and has it straightened every day, and his hair is in lovely condition.

jasper Moroccan oil, or any argan oil, is fine for all hair - just remember less is more.

I've just googled it and there's loads of different types! Can you tell me what you use? Thanks

Also, when my hairdresser uses it, she rubs the residue into the backs of her hands (I used to wipe it off on the damp towel) so now I do that and it's helped the dryness on my hands too. Magic in a bottle I tell ya Grin

I use the michael dicesare version but it can be hard to get - harrods stock it and so do qvc but they never seem to have it in stock when I want to get it. I use that one because I don't like the smell of moroccan oil.

I have very curly hair so use the Curly Girl method.
The final stage of that involves putting lots of conditioner and gel on wet hair after washing it, then scrunching out the crunch when it's dry.
In between shampoos you just mix a little conditioner with water and spray or scrunch it in to deal with any fuzzies.

I have grey blonde hair which is thick and has turned wavy again after last DD, which I prefer to straight now
I use body shop ginger shampoo as most others make my scalp itchy and sore. But use Redken silver conditioner ( to keep any yellow tones away) and Umberto curls scrunching gel on wet hair. I only use hairdrier to lift the roots on the top of my head or dry it a bit if it's really cold and I leave waves to dry naturally. Think untidy scruffy blonde mop flapper/Monroe type waves with a surfer dude finish.
It lasts all day and if I just wet my hands can re-define the curls.
