Tight dry sensitive skin all over - pesky cold weather - what to do!

I have dry sensitive skin at the best of times but am really suffering at the moment. A mixture of cold weather and stress Hmm My skin feels like it's a size too small all over me! Yuck..... I shower every morning with Body Shop naturals stuff and then put Palmers Cocoa Butter all over myself but by lunchtime my skin feels tight again.

Any tips people? Budget options very welcome but give luxury suggestions if you must Smile

Try Dermalogica Ultra Calming range...I use the wash, spray and mask and it's wonderful...great in summer too.
I buy from Beauty Flash online which is£s cheaper.

I was tipped on here a month or so ago to find a really gentle cleanser because of this problem, I was drying myself out. Started using boots own hot cloth cleanser. Sorted :)

I like products with frankincense. The one I'm using at the moment as a body oil is this, but Neals Yard also do a frankincense range.

Dreamwash from lush. Dream cream on top. Body shop body butter on v dry bits. Don't shower/bath too hot or too often (don't ask me what too often is but it is docs advice) Dont scrub self with towel to dry.
Diprobase great emollient if skin sensitive and aqueous cream good to wash with.

Aveeno is very good. It's pricey but soo worth it as it turns my flaky inflamed skin into... well just normal skin really. Lasts ages too.

use aqueous cream instead of soap, its dirt cheap (max £5 for 500 ml) and you can use it all over. you can then use it as moisturiser, but I find Eucerin 10% urea is better to moisturise with, though a bit sticky.

I do like the Neals Yard frankincense products, but find I can only wear them when my skin is not flaring up. I know it is boring, but I find slathering the vaseline intensive care moisturiser over my skin really helps sometimes.

Best body lotion I have used recently is Neutrogena- one for dry skin with sesame oil- it's called a cream oil. it's also cheap- under £5,

Try doublebase gel, dont massage it in though just lightly stroke it on.

And eat an avocado everyday to give you some good skin fats.

Agree with diet t ips- also eat brazils and almonds, and oily fish- sardines if you can bear them for omega 3.

Couldn't agree more with the diet changes.
My saver is Clarins Sensitive Skin Serum - they call it something like Beauty Repair Concentrate.
It's a very light oil, sinks in beautifully - don't use too much, three drops should do it.
That's face.
Body - I mix a few drops of body oil with Aveeno body creamy oil, the one with the push dispenser, it's lotion actually. Oil of choice is currently Weleda Buckthorn, smells heavenly, gives you a golden sheen and it full of good stuff. Omegas or something...

I use Dead Sea Spa Magick scrub as an immediate fix - dry scrub then shower off. It makes a massive difference straight away and gets rid of that skin not fitting feeling. Then I pile cream on morning and night and Body Shop hemp cream for my hands.

Clinique moisture surge is brilliant but not cheap considering the small size of the pot.
