Getting a grip on winter boots (cleats) please please help

Someone linked to some boots on here a short while ago that had grips on the bottom that could be easily twisted outwards or inwards. I thought they looked rather nice but cannot the thread now. I live in the countryside and thought they would be great for the winter (and I am preggers, due second half Feb, and don't want to fall over).

It was a really unusual make and if I remember rightly the person had bought some for herself and her mum also.

I wonder whether anyone can help?

Found them !!

Well, I think so, anyway...

They were mentioned in the avid thread a few weeks ago (I lurk Grin) and I made a note of them because the grips thing looked like a fantastic idea.

Is it them ? Is it, is it ?!!!

If you can't find any you could try this sort of thing. They were pretty popular in Finland when I was there.

Hmm I lurk on the Avid and Wise thread also but I dont post much (not avid enough). I think the boots which were linked to had pink cleats, andwere about £20 cheaper, but yes, that does look a lot like them. Grin

Pink cleats but definitely not cheaper, I'm afraid.

(Is it a little bit sad that I can refer back to notes I've made from S&B ? I like making notes and lists, that's my excuse. Yep, definitely sad.)

It was me who posted about the boots Smile

And StantonLacy is spot on with the links.

There are actually some on ebay so you might be lucky with sizes. My mum has the plainer black ones, and I have the grey furry ones. If you are googling look out for ones with the "OC system". Mammal who make the furry ones seem to do versions with or without the spikes so just be careful you get the right ones.

I can't wait for the snow now!

I just got these, they are great (they took 2 or 3 weeks to come into stock). Thank you to VerityBrulee and StantonLacy for helping me to identify them! I think £68 is quite good value.
