Bare Escentuals: THE DEVIL'S OWN WORK

1028 replies

JodieHarsh · 25/09/2011 17:16

I must post about this. I have just spunked nearly ninety quid on some Bare Escentuals starter kit things.

I arrived at the counter in Stratford Westfield with a hideous bright red, sore, scarred, spotty, sweaty face, and some WITCH managed to take a decade off me with POWDER. Just powder! I mean - WT actual F?! A tube ride and a 20 minute walk home and it's still there. SURELY that's not right. I've used all sorts of super-max coverage matte stuff and it didn't cover ANYTHING like this well. O and I have the glowing rosy cheeks of a teen Shock

I promise I've not been giver a tenner to post this stuff. It's just I've spent so much I feel slightly sick. Does anyone else use this stuff? it's not going to last is it. i'm an idiot. What have I done

You're not an idiot but you're not going to like me when I tell you it's cheaper on qvc.

[Www.qvcuk.com] and it's massively cheap when it's a today's special value.

The stuff you've got if you've a full size foundation will last you about two years. Remember, swirl, tap a lot and then buff for a good few minutes, you only need a tiny amount.

Arse, I didn't know QVC had a website! I got a tenner off 'cos there was a deal in Boots and (according to the perfickly complexioned witch at the counter) because it came with loads of brushes it's worth £200 or something although I do realise this is bollox

Anyway SQUEEEEEEEE a whole BE thread. Thanks Boys, that means I can delay doing any work for another half hour Grin

you must must must moisturise first AND let it sink in completely or you get claggyness

Did she not give you a starter kit? That should have been £48 and included 2 foundations, warmth, bisque, mineral veil and brushes?

That said, I was astounded the first time I tried it!

My SIL swears by it, has done for a few years now. Her wedding photos look proper airbrushed, but it's just the BE.

Thanks boys, am moisturiser-sinking right this minute

Gregs yar, i got the starter kit which was £43 (on offer at Boots) and then another kit Blush for eyes, lips and cheeks for the Terminally Pallid which was £37 down from £43. So actually come to think of it that's not nearly ninety quids it's eighty, right?

BARGAINACIOUS considering that's every bit of makeup covered and, oh yes, it looks AMAZING - you're right YouDo, it looks like I've been Photoshopped!

Honestly, my skin is really awful at the moment - crater-like cars of old spots, angry red bits - and I just can't believe powder has covered it like this.

Seriously. How did I get to 32 without knowing about this stuff? I only went to the counter because I was tired and it was right at the entrance...

It's brilliant stuff isn't it. I've been using it for years and adore it. I buy on QVC or ebay. The sales lady was right about the price, if you bought it all separately it would come to about £200. It'll last you ages so don't feel guilty about £80. It'll work out cheaper than all the other goop you were using.

Don't get me this excited about mine arriving... Patience is not my strong poihnt. Is there a good link for how to apply? I'm going on Youtube. I am nowhere near anywhere that has knowledgable ladies at counters...

Knackered. HIGH with tiredness.

No excuse though.

However, this dewy complexion forgives all grammatical infelicities, no?
