i paid £15 to a local girl on facebook she had just set up her business, most salons round our way charge £20 it should last up to 5 weeks i'm told.

Incase you didn't know its basically foils they cut to size, warm with a hairdryer melt the sticky backing and stick them on.

I was very disappointed in mine the very next day one came off and because of the pattern i couldn't paint it a similar colour, they started peeling at the edges, despite showering rather than baths, by day 4 i pulled them all off, and was left with sticky plaster looking marks, had to rub with nail varnish remover to get the gum off which ruined my fake finger nails. It was too much hassle with 3 kids to go back, i wonder if the girl was very experienced because i know other people that had it done at salons and theres lasted weeks.

Nails inc polish lasts forever and didn't chip on my hols.

Miche if she warmed them with a hairdryer then she didn't do it properly and that's why they came off

I had some done early in the season, they lasted 7 weeks. I actually had to rip them off myself I got sick of them - they were done with a ray lamp.

I'm getting minxed for the first time at the end of this month coming before my hols by a trained friend, she told me to minx my toes as they stay put longer and shellac my fingers :)

I had mines done before Xmas and loved them.

They lasted nearly 2 months though before I had to rip them off because my nails grew in.

Grin a mixed response there then !! The slaggy remark made me smile, have been very happily married for 16 years & have 3 children, i just fancied pretty toenails for the beach...............

Had my toes done recently and loved them - got loads of comments! Cost about £30. Give it a go, you only live once!

Thanks, quite like the metallic ones. Never had mine done though, had stick on ones now and again. Puts me off when people say they ruin your nails, are you meant to be able to afford to keep them up all the time so your nails always look nice.

Quite fancy getting mine done professionally. Life too short and why should I worry about America defaulting etc as long as my nails look good Grin.

I had them done a yr ago.
Wanted plain red but she didn't have , so chose the only other plain she had which was gold.
I thought it looked slaggy ridiculous and felt very selfconscious so peeled them off.

Had mine done (heat lamp though, not hairdryer), and try lasted really well. I had to peel them off when they'd grown out a bit.

I was really boring though, and had plain blue/black ones.

I had the silver metallic done and they looked fab - you have to know whether silver or gold suits your skin tone best!

I have got silver ones. Yes they are borderline chavvy but I love them and get loads of comments, even from people I dont know on the tube. They would be perfect for your hols, a bit of fun. Mine have lasted five weeks so far and no sign of wear or chipping. BUT the girl who did mine took an hour and a half and charged £38, so I will be going somewhere else next time.

I've had mine (toenails) metallic gold for months now. I do them myself, buy the foils off ebay for £3 a pack. They will do your toes about 3/4 times a pack. I usually change them every 4 weeks.

I always get LOTS of compliments on them.
