glad its not just me who thinks the people who dye their clothes have mixed up all their lovely dyes into one big sludgy paint pot and applied to all items!

This season's Kew (yes, I checked) stuff is in TK Maxx at the mo. And the nice stuff, too. Along with some useful Jigsaw basics and dresses.

Normally I loathe Kew because it bawls 21st Century Dowdy but is annoyingly flattering.

However, hem, seeing as how I was in TK at the time I bought a fine white linen shirt at £15, same in navy, and a blistering 70s flare linen skirt for £12.99. So no puree colours.

Also in stock were some cheesecloth dresses (£69 to £16.99) and a couple of silk maxis for £25, priced the same as the Jigsaw dresses in TK. Jigsaw skirts about £12.99.

Nork warning, tho: normally I fit both stores' stuff really well, but zips were a touch tight around the knocker area in TK. If you're worried, I would go for the unfitted stuff.

Ours shut down last year, vague selection of stock in John Lewis. The one at Bluewater looks like a dumping ground for unsold stock.

I find the colours generally washed out there

Must be going out of business then? Or struggling?

Mind you, cant remember the last time I went into a Jigsaw store either.....

Can I ask which TK Maxx you went to? I bet its not my local one.

I don't mind the bag and it would hold ds's bookbag and paraphenlia but it wouldn't work for me as I need to have something i can fling over my shoulder as I cycle everywhere. Have just bought the Boden beachbag for that purpose, dh and the dc think it is hideous.

There are some Kew things on the T K Maxx website. Nothing very exciting apart from perhaps the red maxi dress.
