I bought a Groupon voucher for IPL to use on my moustache and chin! I want to make the booking but wondered what is the optimum time after last waxing to have the treatments. Presumably no waxing in between sessions? Any other tips to make it work as well as possible?

I haven't had chin/moustache but have had bikini and underarm. Skin there needs to be shaved the day or two before. You can't do IPL for 4-6 weeks after waxing because there are no follicles to zap. If you wax in between sessions you need to wait the 4-6 weeks again. Same with strong sunlight, needs to be avoided, so I'll need to wait for 6 weeks after getting back from holiday before I go again.

Like I say - might be different for face.

Ah, ok. Six weeks of no waxing - help! How much difference do you notice after the first session, if any? No plucking either, I guess! Eek...

Its a bad time of year for IPL. (Hence the Groupon voucher!). You can't have any tan or fake tan on your face, and yes, you need 6 weeks of no depilation in order to have a follicle to kill.

If you think its not for you, you have 7 days to cancel your Groupon voucher and get a refund for any reason under the distance selling regulations.

Just in case you are regretting your decision! I'm sure you're not though - but yes you will have to have a mo for a while.

Mo's rock, work that mo look baby yeah. Fuck society and their stupid mysogonistic expectations.

(That's just to get you to 6 weeks, that pep talk, by the way! I'm not rocking a mo!)
