Goin to my friends birthday party today.

It starts at half one in a pub type place.

What the hell do I wear?

Jeans and tee probably too casual.

Dress and heels too dressy Confused

Well timed as I'm doing this today too! My indecision is exaggerated by the fact that I have a v v heavy period too. :(

I think I'm going to go for a silk just above the knee dress and heels and sod being over-dressed! I might wear a denim jacket to dress it down a bit.

Am open to other ideas though!

That sounds lovely colonel.

It's sunny here but not hot.

Think maybe skinnies with dressy top and huge heels.

Or skinnies and ditsy print dress.

Sunny but not hot here too but we're off oop North v soon and I don't know what it's like there!

Of course, the problem with a dress is what to wear on legs.

I just tried skinny jeans and heels on and dd1 (16) said it was fine but I haven't got any nice tops and am v norky, so it's easy to look like a parsnip in skinny jeans. Gah.

I'm oop north, well north west.

I have largish norks plus a largish arse to balance them

colonel-please go for the dress and not the skinnies. Ladies please take note unless you are a tall, slim teenager skinny jeans and heels does not look good. It looks cheap and chavvy. Oh yes it does

Okay - am now sporting navy Janice with a denim jacket over it to dress it down and tan wedges. Does that sound okay?

cod-are you implying my name is chavvy?. Its ironic dearie
colonel-yes that sounds nice. I really like the janice but am put off buying because every time I go into Phase 8 is full of really old ladies!.

Okay - wore the Janice and it's now got a hole in it. I don't think the quality is great tbh but it's deffo not old lady (though lots of the stuff in Phase Eight is hideous, I agree!).
