Foundations/Primers!

Hellooo, so, I want to try out primers because although my skin isn't awful, I find that my foundation sinks into my pores and then slides off really easily.. basically it looks a bit shit after a while.

Maybe this is because I'm using rubbish foundation (max factor), it probably IS worth spending a little more.

Does anyone have any reccomendations foundations for dry skin (with the occasional shiny bit around the nose/forehead)- I'm also very pale (with lots of freckles!)

OR, would a primer sort out all my woes (without drying my skin)? It's the pores I'm worried about really! (I've tried pore minimisers to little effect).

THANKS!

i tried estee lauder primer and that was very good.

definitley worth buying a decent foundation. tight finances atm means i have to use a cheap high street foundation and you can really tell the difference, i look more orange and it goes shiny really quickly.

Would you say Clinique is good? Or are you talking an estee lauder type foundation too? I'll have a look around! I don't want to be acosted by the "counter girls" though!

i've never used clinique. for foundation i used either estee lauder or a YSL one that had a brush, i can't remember its name.

bobbie brown is supposed to be good too and i might try that one next time finances allow.
