Right, cheap wedding attire for a short rotund bride

Title says it all really :(

You lot have given me some fabulous ideas for a cheap wedding, but I will need a frock because going in jeans and a cardigan has been vetoed by my DH-to-be.

I am 5'3" at best, so pale I'm sort of bluish but with rosy cheeks, size 18ish but massive-of-belly with a charming c-section overhang and my legs are chunky but reasonably shapely. I also have wide eczema-covered feet (really, it's a miracle someone's even considering marrying me) so would prefer plain courts or something.

I've looked at Oxfam, BHS, Debenhams, Monsoon, and Littlewoods but don't really know what I'm looking for. Cheaper the better. And it has to hide the belly. My upper arms are a bit yak too :(

I was thinking something like www.bhs.co.uk/mall/productpage.cfm/bhsstore/657603/91594 or www.monsoon.co.uk/bridal-dresses/bala-dress/invt/85311692/ or perhaps even www.monsoon.co.uk/bridal-dresses/alston-dress/invt/85311892/. Is whitish still ok even though I have 2 DC?! I am so pale should I just forget trying to be traditional and wear something colourful?

I must sleep now but if you are bored and insomniac, please help!

The link should work now :)

I love the BHS dress and the shorter of the monsoon dresses.

What is your max budget?
what colours do you like to wear if white is not your colour?

I like the short Monsson dress - if you want colour and maybe to cover up upper arm, what about a wrap?

Yeah, I like the wee bolero jobs you see these days but would need a strapless for that i think - am sure I could pick up a nice wrap though. I've got distracted and looking at shoes and jewellery now Grin

Budget is variable but preferably under £150 or up to £200 if it's abso-bloody-lutely perfect Grin

I don't know if white's my colour or not - no idea what my colour is!

Sorry am a bit confused as it seems I managed to make 2 threads by accident Blush
