Help - what top and shoes to wear with this skirt

So I went shopping today for what seems like the first time since DS was born 2 years ago, having finally realised that my wardrobe seems to consist of a couple of pairs of jeans and a sucession of identikit t-shirt type tops for winter and summer.

Anyway, I bought this skirt which I love, but I can't find a top or shoes to go with it (and, tbf, after today I am bit shopped out). So I am hoping the lovely and wise ladies of the Style & Beauty threads can help.

I am probaby looking to wear it casually, day to day but being able to dress it up a bit would be nice.

I am a short size 18 apple who is large of nork, if that helps.

Also, though the title and description say the skirt is navy, in real life it is dark (slightly faded) grey on white.

Hello, you will need a tight fitting lycra plain top that comes down to your hips. Anything else will look fussy. You need wedge heels or flats due to your shape.

I'm very short in the waist so know about dressing apple shapes. You did well with the flared style.
