Perhaps not strictly style and beauty, but sweat patches certainly aren't beautiful!
Anyway - what to you think is the most effective deodorant/anti-perspirant?
I'm using Sure cotton dry stick - supposedly keeps you dry for 48 hours
. I'm not particularly whiffy but get embarassing wet patches under my arms if I get slightly warm.
I like sticks best (roll ons take ages to dry and aerosols make me cough) but will reconsider if the consensus is that they are better.

mitchum roll on is really good.

DriClor - changed my life.... seriously. Put it on once/week forget about using anything else, I reckon I suffer from hyperhydrosis though, so it might be too much for you!

Mitchum
I never get sweat patches with this
In the past I have used Driclor (you only need a tiny bit else it causes intolerable itching though)

Mitchum roll on is amazing! Nothing better.

Another vote for Mitchum roll on.
Brilliant stuff.
I use the sure maximum strength one which is really good, not cheap at £5 a timebut really works for me
Second the Sure Max strength one!
It worked for me when I had medical issues that made me sweat buckets (mm, nice!).
and I still use it now if I'm doing anything remotely active.

I currently use Dove (the one thats black dress approved or whatever it is) and thats ok but still get the dreaded sweat patches if its really warm etc.
Have recently tried Mitchum (but the aerosol version) and didn't notice any big diff but I must say that when I did "perspire" it made my armpits smell rank ??! So for this reason I gave up with it.
Also tried Nivea antiperspirant recently and it smelt beautiful but caused my armpits and surrounding skin to go red and itch terribly, as does Sure. Must have quite sensitive skin I guess.
Oh, avoid Triple Dry. It is a LIE. I used the roll on and the deo itself just would not dry, no idea how it was meant to protect me from sweat...
I use mitchum too but the dry stick thing, unperfumed.

Thank you everyone
I didn't expect this thread to get into Most Active!
I will try Mitchum next

Can you get Sure max strength in a stick version?

I used to use Mitchum until I discovered the Sure Max one (costing £5). No going back.

It's a cream that you click and it squeezes up through little holes - the Sure one. Or a spray version.
I might try the Dove super strength one at some point.

New Dove squeeze up hardcore one is great. No patches and I am an ex Mitchum user. After DC mitchum brought me out in a painful rash...

another vote for Mitchum, the stick one.
I absolutely love Vichy perfumed roll-on too but it is difficult to get hold of and a bit pricey. I used it non-stop for well over a decade and it never let me down.
yes the creams are great
I hate roll-ons - find they leave the worst marks on my clothes
Mitchum spray did nothing for me
am currently alternating the new Right Guard 72 hour one (good) and Sure Extreme protection (or some such) for men
I think that the key is ROTATION because I always find that they lose efficacy after a while (not sure why: I can see why that works for shampoos etc cos of build-up, but surely build-up of deodorant would if anything - sorry for gross thought - improve efficacy?!)

Mitchum roll on works for me.
Driclor was too harsh for my sensitive skin
Also heard good things about odaban - but have never tried

There is a new super strength DOVE cream out, it's about a fiver and worth every penny!
Most super strong ones make me itch or give me a rash after a couple of days but DOVE is great.

Agree that rotation might be the key. Mitchum did nothing for me except give me sticky pits. Driclor - how do you stand the pain? Put it on so many times only to have to get up 15 mins later and wash it off!! Linden Voss triple dry stick worked well for me, put on at night.
Another one for rotation...I seem to become immune after a while so I alternate between Mitch and sure 48hr one whatever it's called
Mitchum works better than anything else for me

mitchum used to work for me, but doesn't any longer. Used the roll on before and moved to the dry stick one, but that's no better...

UARMSOL deodorant powder really works for me, it doesn't clog or dry up my skin or leaving me smelling bad even when I sweat, no more funky odours.

Dove max strength for me too!
I used to like the Mitchum stick but it kept breaking.
