Summer sandals for wide feet that aren't ugly!

I have really wide feet that are only a size 3. I'm only 25 and a size 10 and I feel like sandals for wide feet always make me look frumpy. Sad I like bright colours, a bit of beading maybe, something like that.

I tend to wear sandals with a toe post that have nothing going across the widest part of my foot, just so I can get my foot in really.

I also prefer leather because I find them more comfortable and longer-lasting.

Any suggestions?

aren't birkenstocks pretty good for wide feet?

Have a look at aspiga here I think they sound up your street and my big fat feet manage to look alright in them! Not strictly wide feet, but plenty of room in my experience. Call them to ask about sizing though-it varies a lot.

I have wide feet and love my birkis. Worth looking in TK maxx as they often have them for £20 - £25

I have wide feet size 3 and a half. Nothing in Clarks fit, M& S too frumpy. I have some lovely wedges from Jones the Bootmaker from last year, they seemed to come up quite wide. Also just bought these www.shoetailor.com/shop/product/details/show.action?pdLpUid=AZ526&pdBoUid=3170&lpgUid=11288578#colour:0,size: and I love them! So comfy. They only start at size 4 but fit me fine.

I'm the same boat OP. It's also maddening that many sandals are leather but then lined in manmade stuff which make your feet sweat.

Fitflops original sole (walkstar/electra/hooper/rokkit) fit my wide hooves. Also the comfiest shoes ever.

Thanks ladies for your suggestions. Those aspiga ones are perfect, let's just see if I can stretch to that much for them. But I'm amazed at how nice the new look wide fit ones are and how many styles they have! Shock I feel a trip into town coming on. Grin And they're doing 20% off for students so I might take my sister Wink

Aspiga have decent sales, add yourself to the mailing list to find out when they are. Have fun shopping!

The aspiga one are so very very beautiful. classy and stylish. But I don't think I can wear any of them, because they all have a toe bit, like a flip flop and i don't like that.
Gutted !!

I did not like the duo ones at all I am afraid, I thought they were well ugly and frumpy, like alot of clarks and M&S.

I did like tatty's viva flexi mule and then whem i saw it in silver, that was it !! bought !

will keep on looking.

I find New Look wide aren't actually wide, the M&S ones ggirl linked to are much nicer in real life, I recently bought them and they look lovely with a maxi dress. I normally spend all summer in Birkenstocks because they are the only sandals wide enough for me!

OP I have these (Sorry I can't figure out how to do clicky links.) Also if you look on the Glads page on Simply Be they have some multicoloured non toepost ones that I guarantee will fit you. Hope this helps. :)
