Tell me what knickers to wear on an ordinary day...

It's about time I bought some new knickers as I wouldn't want want to be seen in many of mine Blush.

I've got a few pairs that are part of matching bra and knicker sets (but find thats a very expensive way to buy knickers) and a load of cotton ones from m and s which are not terribly appealing Blush.

Any suggestions on what to buy? I am a size 12.

Maybe this is super-boring, but for everyday wear, I have perhaps half a dozen black bras that fit perfectly (Calvin Klein is my current favorite, I used to love Gossard in the past). I find bras need to be decent quality. I combine them with black cotton knickers (bikini brief is my favorite style) - I have about two dozen, I buy them in bulk and discard periodically. Cotton is IMO the best material for knickers. M&S is perfectly fine and washes well. So they match but are not matching sets. For summer, I have a lesser amount of similar pairings in white.

Agree totally with DonaAna

Black t-shirt bras from Fantasy which are a perfect fit. Then lots of plain black cotton knickers from M&S which get binned when they fade.

In summer I have flesh coloured or white.

I have a few pairs of pulling knickers, though why I'd bother now that I'm married goodness knows, and the rest are black or white 5 for a tenner or whatever, bikini briefs.

Ones that match whatever bra you are wearing and do not create a VPL. Buy 2 or 3 pairs of knickers per bra.

John Lewis own-brand packs of bikini briefs are marvo. Am a recent convert from M&S.

Thanks, I should add that as a single person I live in hope and would like to be ready for any eventuality.

That means that big white ones are out.

My mostly Fantasie bras are lacy and various colors so maybe just trying to wear M&S cotton knickers that vaguely match is the best idea. Just wondered whether there is a modern day alternative to M&S as out doesn't seen to be what it used to be.

I find Fantasie knickers too expensive to buy more than one pair per bra.

I got some really nice ones from Muji the other day - went to london for the night and realised I'd forgotten to pack any. They are very small bikinis, but much neater, with flat seams - better than the john lewis cotton ones

I'm afraid I also go for black t-shirt bras and M&S cotton knickers (black) for everyday wear. I might mix it up with some hot pink or purple variations on the same theme.

Mmm, BB, they look very everyday.

Will take a look at John Lewis and Muji as an alternative to M&S.

I also stick with a black bra and white so that I can easily by undies that match, but aren't a matching set.

For everyday wear, I like these from M&S. They come in black and white, and I like them because they are not fancy, but a little lacy, and also because they are quite skimpy without being g-strings (just got too old to have undies up my arse all day, I'm afraid Grin).

They also don't leave a VPL, which I like.

these for everyday with blck bra They don't go up me bum like some of the "short" style knickers do.

these for with white bra- as they come in white I have a pinky bra to so they match up

Just get the packs of knickers to match the colour of each bra you buy

here is the link to the muji ones - no idea why they're called shorts, because they aren't!

BigusBumus they're amazing...... Though not terribly good value, £69 and they don't even include a crotch Wink

I sadly wear these got adicted to them after my CS which was over a year ago now!, tried to replace them with something slightly more age appropriate (am 28) so got a job lot of these but the huge ones are just too comfy...... Poor DH :o

Uniqlo do some fantastic "invisible" ones in nude shade. Best I've ever tried for under clothes which would otherwise give a VPL!

I just got these from white stuff, 3 pairs for £15. I have struggled to find nice comfy but pretty knickers since having kids (2 years ago)! and still wore my maternty pants! I have some victoria secret ones I love but these are very similar and very comfy! Lots of different colurs/patterns. Good luck!

I get most of my underwear from Triumph - fit and quality are great. I am obsessive about matching sets.

This in black, white or nude for day to day

This for something a bit more special

I also have a sports bra which I wear with M&S cotton knickers (black)

M&S high legs for me. They stay put, aren't too big or too high towards my tummy. And comfy.
