Would this top work for a wedding (yes I know another one!)

I've been invited to the whole all day, it's from 1pm and is like to carry on into the early hours of the next morning.

Am thinking this top with wide leg trousers, I have multiple shoe options in various colours. But trousers would mean I could change into flats later and not look silly.

Like the vintage look, would make my tits look great Grin whilst covering bad bits but I'm concerned it's too casual?

I think skinny trousers would look better, with big old earrings to party it up and maybe some kind of nice jacketty thing o'er the top? With a posh clutch?

Lovely but not black trousers imo - what colour trousers were you going to go for?

think i'll go for wide leg as it was more a vintage look I was going for.

If not black then what colour, navy? teal? Black trousers are one of my staples, not good at having colour on bottom half? I have red patent tbar shoes

The wedding is going to be VERY trendy, think Westwood

You can get the john lewis ones off the Hobbs website here . Looks like they still have your size, and they are lovely, have seen them in the flesh.

Top is gorgeous too. If you have an Oliver Bonas near you they stock Fever, so you could try it on before you buy. I've always found sizing a little erratic with this brand, so might be a good idea!

It's lovely. With wide leg trousers it is definitely smart enough.

[wail] it didn't fit. It was too tight at the bottom, couldn't do the buttons up, the fabric wasn't particularly good quality

Back to the drawing board, will shop style to see what i can find. Quite fancy keeping with the vintage style. Thanks for your opinions

THanks for those FF, but I've found a top, which I can't quite believe, thought it was going to be a long slog. It's from [whispers] matalan Shock. It's chiffon type fabric in lots of bright colours and I'll try to find some grey trousers to go with it so I can wear be black shoes and bag with it.
