this (and plan to get it in navy and black from the website)
this
and these in grey from Debenhams
plus a selection of tops from H & M

I'm also hankering after

My credit card is bruised and battered.... Grin What do you think?

Astroturf, anyone?

I think the skirt and the cardigan that you are hankering after are much nicer than the ones you have already bought (sorry about that) although probably more practical, but the dress and the trousers that you have already bought are really lovely oh and the shoes, i'm sure it will all look so nice.

Monsoon clothes do look so much nicer in real life than on the photographs so i'm sure you look beautiful in them all x

I think they all look nice, my favourite is the tea dress.

I like, especially the trousers - am tempted now to try some on!

love the tea dress. Trousers look a good shape. Really like the skirt that you are hankering after- really good for summer with that cardi

Some lovely things there. The tea dress is really pretty and love the trews. Prefer the white floral skirt, especially for spring/summer. :)

Right, this is a bad influence. I took the cream cardi back and gone one very similar in the sale. (I only wanted it for going out and about.) I got the floral skirt, navy cardi, a lilac cardi, a t-shirt and a pair of shoes. Now I just need to figure out how to convince DH they've been at the back of my wardrobe fore ages.

Whoops. Blush Sorry about all the spelling mistakes in my last message. I was rushing as I thought DD1 was up to no good. (Turned out she was playing with a stapler. Hmm) The trousers are great. They fit me like a glove. I've also got the winter version of them - high wool content, lined and machine washable. I think they'll last me ages.

Meggles - they only had white and pink versions of that vest top in the shop. I'm off up to Aberdeen tomorrow, so I'm going to have a search around there.

Gulp at all the money spent!!!

I like the tea dress very much, but am not keen on the skirts at all.

Envy, some lovely things, wish i could bring myself to spend that much on one item though (even if i could i wouldn't be able to), i love momsoon but can only buy in the sale.

In fairness, I've hardly spent any money at all on clothes for the last 5 years. I've either been pregnant/breastfeeding/losing weight from being pregnant and breastfeeding or TTC. Now we have our 2 cherubs I know that I can splash out on some clothes and be fairly certain I'll get some decent wear out of them.

Bunbaker - I know my sister hates Monsoon. I think you either love it or hate it. I think I'm a hippy at heart.

I bought this one in Monsoon but havent worn it yet. The 28 days are nearly up so I am going to have to decide whether to keep it or not - any opinions welcome?

Report
dontrunwithscissors · 19/03/2011 14:39

I like it, but, then again, I like a lot from Monsoon so I'm probably not the best person to give their opinion.

I looked at that birdie one today and it's cute - but polyester.

I boughta denim shirt dress in the half price sale but can't find it on the website. Haven't bought anything in Monsoon for years but they had a couple of nice things in today.

Nospringflower - that is a gorgeous dress, keep it!! I saw the skirt version in a magazine which I liked the look of, didn't realise it came as a dress too!
Never bought monsoon, wondered what their sizing is like?

Have got the shirt dress on now to go to the pub. But what shall I wear on my legs and feet? I have zillions of pairs of tights in all sorts of colours/patterns; ballet flats in a range of colours; boots (but don't really want to wear them); various wedges but it's a half hour walk to the pub and I am a shoe-wuss.

dontrun I got the vest in my local store - it is cobalt blue and white stripe. Looks nice with linen trousers when the warmer weather comes Smile

Agree Monsoon is not everyones cup of tea but I too am a bit of a hippy at heart

I'm not normally a big fan but think Monsoon is fab this season. I've bought loads in there, the navy linen parka they've got in is especially nice and I've worn it lots already.

Love that tea dress, and am lusting after the Serena cream blouse but it's sold out in my size Sad
