capsule wardrobe for a 14 year old girl?

Yet another uniform free day at school, and my very reasonable dd2, mentions that comments are made that she always seems to wear the same thing.
Ok, shes not growing much and some of her things are hand me downs from her big sister, but maybe she has a point.
Can anyone tell me what are the essentials for a modern 14 year old girls wardrobe these days?
Thanks

I've just had a quick look in DD's wardrobe and the most frequently worn items are skinny jeans, denim mini, black sort of lycra mini, couple of kilt type mini skirts, fur lined denim jacket, parka, jack wills hoodies, check fitted shirts and some oversized boyfriend type jumpers. She has some special occasion outfits and visiting relatives dresses but the things mentioned are her day to day favourites. I would never buy her anything without her first trying it on and approving as it would be a waste of money. DD is 15.

I have a 13 and a 15 year old.

Their most-worn items include things like:

skinny jeans
denim minis
denim shorts
black shorts
lots and lots of inane t-shirts
big baggy men's checked shirts worn tucked into little shorts or denim minis
ballet shoes
biker boots
lots of pairs of knitted tights / lacy tights / opaque tights
dd1 - parka
dd2 - military coat
lots of scarves

Things they say they still 'need' include: cream cable knit fishermen type jumpers; more checked shirts (they buy these from a vintage shop at around a fiver apiece).

Thanks for this.
She has converse boots, skinny jeans from h&m and has spoken loveingly about jack wills (now you have mentioned him, i'll have to check it out ,i suppose).
She likes new look ,(i have a differnt opinion)but a lot of baggy styles will drown her as she is such a titch so i hita bit of a brick wall. Thank fpr your hel sue and BG Smile

Jack wills usually have a brilliant on line sale. Last few days it get really cheap. Register and they will send you endless emails. Got son tops for £12 that had been £69 etc.
