Skinny jeans - mutton dressed as lamb????

I am 54 and told I look between 40 - 45 years old - my friends are very kind . I am a 5' 2" tall, size 10 and try and keep in shape.

Although I wear smart clothes for the office i.e. a trouser or skirt suit with a blouse for work, out of working hours I to like to wear jeans - bootcut and skinny jeans in particular.

I am happy wearing skinny jeans and they make me feel young but do you think at my age I should be thinking about hanging them up. I keep thinking in 6 years time I will be 60!!!

btw my 18 year old ds hasn't made any remarks or given me funny looks about the clothes I wear which I suppose is a good indication (for now)

No way - keep wearing them! I don't really see skinny jeans as a fashion item now. They are just jeans to me.

My Mum is 64 - she is a very petite (4' 11") size 8 and she looks better than I do in skinnies.

Don't give them up - just be mindful not to try to accessorise like a 15 year old.

Long tops and scarfs.
