Need some sportswear.. going to go to martial arts lesson with the DCs. Why is all sports wear, designed for really tall people?

Just need tracksuit bottoms, not the cuffed round the ankle type and a long sleeve not tight top plllllleeeeeeeeeeease ! and not £££

been to various different places today and all the jogging bottoms were so long I would have tripped over them

This is why I exercise in shorts. Or some 'sports knit' bottoms from Lands End petite but they don't seem to have that sort at the moment.

Would a cropped style do maybe?

I just cannot wear shorts or tight crops..i might just wear leggings and a long t shirt.

that's another story ! why are excercise tops cropped or short.. it is not beyond the realm of possibility someone with a less than flat stomach might want to excercise and needs soemthing a little more modest?

I've got a couple of Champion tops - designed for running but I use them in the gym - which are looseish T-shirt shape but the 'sporty' fibre not cotton.

Anyway, if you get into the martial arts seriously you'll get a Gi which should solve the problem - judging from DDs they are accommodating of all shapes and sizes. Kids start with the bottoms turned up and end with them mid calf Grin

Leggings (or non-tight crops) and long T sound like a perfect substitute for the purpose TBH.

Lounge/yoga pants in Sainsbury's always shrink. I'm only 5ft4 and now buy the long ones so I know after the first wash they'll still fit. Next has sports stuff, and I really like the sports stuff in H&M (if you're anywhere near either of them).

Next have petite joggers and tops - am 5ft 1ish well slightly less and only a tad too long.

not going to invest in a gi until i know that me and the DCs are going to stick to it

for now, got a t shirt & joggers in matalan.. at least can have bare feet so no trainers to invest in !

thank you everyone for your recommendations

Lots of short leg ones in M&S. I have these ones. They have lasted me a couple of years!
Wear with one of these tops.
