Does anyone know what one wears to a gallery exhibition opening?

I would like to look vaguely fabulous... but what is the dress code usually?

If anyone fancies proxy-shopping, I am 5'0", 10/12 but v norky (32E), hourglass shape, and tend to wear boring grey, black and navy clothes, usually from Gap or M&S

TIA

Get yourself a Westwood Anglomania dress - it will love you forever! Or you can borrow mine if you want! :)

Actually mine will probably be too big for you (though you are welcome to try it) but do, do go and try one one.

Otherwise, have you seen the v lovely navy dress in gap, with the black elastic waist band? Would look fab on you.

Grin hello!

is the gap one with the sort of tulip shaped skirt? It was very hard to look with dd dragging me off...

I probably can't justify a VW purchase on the basis of a one-off evening out especially with christmas and singeing cuts coming... though it would be lovely.

Are you around tomorrow or friday for coffee? (have dd in tow)

Yes, it has a tulip-type skirt and is sort of half silky and half cottony. I haven't tried it on but it looks lovely. And it's deffo cheaper than VW!

Not around for coffee, I'm afraid but would love to at some point. I suspect it might be February now though!

This is gorgeous irl and a totla bargain. I keep trying it on but being frightened that it makes my bum look too big! It's soft and not at all clingy.

That looks a little too stripy for me... plains are best I think.
I will pop into gap tomorrow.

Actually just remembered I have a new tunic from white company sitting here not yet worn [spoilt]
