I need trouser help

I need some trousers. But it's so long since I bought myself clothes that I haven't a clue where to start!! This is what I'm after:

  • bootleg cut
  • cord, velvet or denim
  • dark brown, wine or navy (don't wear black)
  • short fit (I'm 5'2")
  • buy online

Not asking for much am I?

Quite like their bootleg jeans - thanks

But as I so rarely get to spend money on myself I was hoping for something a bit "different" - think maybe I'm a bit out of step with what I'm after!

Damn, I got some fabulous wine cords in Monsoon last year, in Shortarse length (I'm even shorter than you) but they don't seem to be online. Blast.

That's a shame, MI.

Don't think you are shorter, I bought maternity trousers from you and they fitted fine

Or maybe I'm shorter than I think I am, lol!

PS, I read Monsoon as Morrisons when I opened this thread, don't think so somehow!!!!

I could once again post a link to the slouch trousers I have from Next???

Have a look at Kew or Jigsaw online, and get them shortened?

Report
motherinferior · 16/09/2005 21:46

They aren't online at the moment (they come and go on the site) but I'm raving about the M&S Limited Collection Joanne jeans, which are a great fit and come in Shortarse.

Does slouch mean baggy? I have quite a long body and short legs so baggy makes me look like a duck

I've had shortened bootleg trousers before - that's a last resort, I think! However will have a look, thanks

They are baggy from the knee down, can't get onto the website just now to check if they do a short length. Doesn't sound like they are what you are looking for.

FCUK site needs the latest flash download to view it - I am banned from downloading stuff because dh has to spend ages "fixing" the computer then!!!!

Told you. I'm doooomed.

Doesn't help that I live in the middle of nowhere with only a Mackays to shop in!!!!

, I guess you shop on the net quite a bit then?

I like the Principles trousers but wonder if the colour is really suitable for winter?

Report
Miaou · 16/09/2005 22:41

Hmm yes I wondered that, but I suppose they aren't any paer than stonewashed jeans.

Right, will order them and see what they look like.

You can always send them back or keep them for the Spring.

Report
MrsSpoon · 16/09/2005 22:42

I mean if you don't think they will do for the winter.

That's what I thought too!

Right, trousers ordered, baby fed, off to bed
