Shopping trip to Chester - or better?

Looking for weekend ideas for my friend and I to meet up for a shopping trip. Overnight stay and 2 days of clothes shopping .

Is Chester still good for clothes shopping? or Leeds better?

Any areas/tips?

I can talk to you about Chester, but not Leeds!
I think it's really good for shopping and eating out. I haven't been to any clubs so I can't comment on late night activities.

There is a new Abode hotel on the way in by the racecourse which looks nice. Some mothers from here are off to the Crowne Plaza soon, saying there's a great pool and sauna etc there.

I recently went out with the girls and had a great time at Piccolino's restaurant (Italian). There is also a great Thai place by the station.
There is Pizza Express and Pitcher and Piano by the Travelodge also.

Shopping wise they have LK Bennett now aswell as Jigsaw, Coast, Phase 8, Zara, White Stuff, Fat Face, Debenhams, M&S, Habitat, Russell & Bromley, Office, Space NK, all in a square mile. They also have the other high street stores. A big H&M, smaller Top Shop etc, Monsoon.. (Kurt Geiger has closed).
Oh, and Boodles for diamonds. Wink

ooh - they sound good shops - all the ones I've been looking at online. Sounds better than going to London - where everything is so spread out.

Also designer outlet village Cheshire Oaks is a short drive away. And they have quite good shops but it is always windy and there is a lot of walking to get round it-can recommend the Molton Brown shop though-they sell stuff at half the price of the Chester shop.
