It hurt!!! Imagine choosing to let someone iron your face and then paying for the privilege!!! And I have to go back 5 more times and it's likely the laser will have to be turned up higher next time. Was possible the most painful thing I've ever done, thank goodness it only took about 2 minutes for them to zap me, how anyone gets large areas done is beyond me.
But after 30 mins no more pain and all redness was gone after 2 hours and I think I may already be a little less hairy.

Ooooh, where have you had it done (sorry too lazy to look for back threads)? Was thinking of having it done but I heard you could only have it done on hair that is darker than the surrounding skin. Is that right? Because mine isn't.

I think it feels like being pinged with an elastic band, it does hurt but the pain is soon over and forgotten! You will dread the sessions but results are worth it :)

Don't have treatments just before or during your period - you are more sensitive then. I have had laser for both hair removal and facial redness and have been very pleased with the results. However, I do have dark hair.
I was told that laser treatment of thread veins is not effective which is a bummer as I find sclerotheraphy soooo painful.

yes I have really dark hair. Think it works best on black hair but haven't heard anything about the skin colour next to it. I guess the laser is locking on colour so it may make sense. Am really hoping will be worht it

The newest lasers are more sensitive and can work on darker skin.
I know ladies of Indian and NIgerian origin who have had it done.
