Anyone shopped HM online?

HotchpotchHoney · 11/10/2010 13:30

I placed an order with h&m online basically a few days after they went live. I am still to receive any of my order. it did say that a couple of the items would be delayed and i elected to have the items that were in stock sent and the rest to follow.
Payment taken from my card, but when i look in my account on the hm website it says all my items have moved to delivery at the end of october!!!!
I have emailed them to ask why this is and when i can expect delivery and have had no reply other than a standard keep up to date with delivery shedule via my acocunt page. The order was a large one and well over £100 so to say i'm not impressed is an understatement.
I am beginning to think i need to go down the ring my card and try and retrieve money that way route.
Has anyone else had issues with H&M?

H&M sound very like Vertbaudet in their delivery and customer service (and not in a good way!)
My first delivery was super-quick. The next one looks like two of the items are not available for a while.

When I tried to return something to the store today they would only give me a credit note. It does say that on the delivery note, but had I known this I wouldn't have bothered ordering in the first place.

You know that's against the law, right? Distance Selling Regulations say you have at least seven days from receipt of a home delivery to get a full refund.

I placed an order two weeks ago and have had the same experience. Not good.

I haven't emailed tbh as I am not in a major rush for the things but it's a shoddy service.

I had my first delivery from them a couple of weeks ago, I had ordered 3 weeks previously but was advised that most of my items wouldn't be delivered until October so I elected to have it all come together, they didn't charge my card until it was all despatched. I didn't gave any problems and had my emails replied to within 24hours. I think there will probably be some hiccups until they get into the swing of things.

they have definatley taken the money from my bank though, not sure what to do now.
I'm not desperate for the items, its just t-shirts andbits and pieces for dd for winter but just worried as they have already charged my card.

I'm having a terrible time with them. According to their courier link that is available on my account, the goods (which I ordered on 1 Oct) were dispatched to the courier on the 7th. I also got an email from them on the 6th saying delivery would be made within 2 days. Now 9 days on and still no delivery. I've called their customer service team every day since Tuesday and each time I'm told that they're trying to figure out whats happening with the courier. Finally on Friday I was told that, contrary to previous info, the courier had only received the goods on Thurs and that they should be delivered at 'some point over the next few days'. Not good enough considering they charge £4 for delivery and expect you to be available to sign for the goods on arrival. The most annoying thing is that my order is stuff for bfing as my first DC was due on Tues. Am intending to call again on Monday and try and get a refund on the full order as I'm fed up now. I imagine that they won't be able to do that as it's already been dispatched (yeah right) Hmm. Am wishing I'd just gone into one of the shops now and won't be ordering from them again.

Oh, and they charged my card on the 7th too, so not impressed.

Returns have to be picked up by Hermes too which means you have to stay in all day and wait!

Seriously?!!! That's crap! Definitely not reordering then.

Having said that, if it's delivered by Hermes it's collected by them.
If it's small enough to go through the letterbox it's Royal Mail delivered/returns.

3 flat long sleeved t-shirts came by Hermes???

The thing that got me was being told by Customer Services that 'perhaps the delivery driver was on holiday or off sick'. Cue me asking if she was seriously asking me to believe they only had one driver.. Hmm

Well I def won't be using them again and has put me off shopping in store as well. After countless emails without reply I checked my bank on Friday and the full £143 had been refunded! I checked my page on the hm site and my order had been cancelled no explanation. No emails no letter no attempts delivery nothing just a refund!

hotchpotch that is ludicrous!! Cannot believe they've not made any attempt to contact you!!

Am still waitig for my delivery and had major rant at them this morning (as only an overdue preggers lady can). So they're refunding the delivery charge (which will cover about half of what the phone bill will be) and have promised delivery today or tomorrow... yeah right, I've heard that before. It's so frustrating!

WorrisomeHeart - hope you get your delivery soon!
I have decided to boycot them for a while as I am so cross with them still. I rang and they couldn;t give me an answer as to why this happened. Just an apology and a promise of free delivery next time. I said there won't be a next time!

Am astounded as the delivery has turned up! Only 12 days late.. Hmm Fortunately it all fits as I couldn't face trying to arrange a collection for returns. Won't be ordering online again from them.

Now, back to enjoying my maternity leave and fretting over when the baby will arrive (if only there was a customer service line I could harangue about that... Grin
