Has anyone tried ordering with Zara online?

As I don't get much time to get to the shops, I thought I would place an online order, try the things on in my own time and return as necessary.
I found quite a few things that I liked the look of, added them to the shopping bag, etc
Tried to pay several times with two different cards but payment unsuccessful. I eventually managed to get through to the 'helpline' (after 15 minute holding on) to be told that their system was blocking new customer's cards because of a case of fraud and that they would unblock my account and to try this pm.
Have tried three times since and still not working.
Have started searching online and found several less than complimentary reviews complaining re lack of customer service, lack of communication when items on website actually unavailable, problems with refunds, etc
Now, I'm wondering whether to risk it even if I can pay tomorrow/ later.

Has anybody else used Zara online and could you tell me about your experiences?

I have recently.

Had no probs paying but found the website poor in general, some items didn't have a drop down box to select sizes etc.

I got a despatch email then 8 days later got the shipping email. Not quite sure what was happening during those 8 days but parcel turned up after 12 days from ordering.

Yes, I agree happily.

Also, forgot to say that the ultimate irritation was after all these problems, I tried to call the customer services number a second time and it seems to be unavailable!

I ordered and chose to receive instore. It took a week and when I went to pick up it took over an hour for them to "process" my order.
I kept two out of twelve items.

Jean-Philippe from customer services sounded like he was in France. I hope he wasn't as I was on a mobile!!He couldn't give my my order number to pick up my items etc. etc.

Never again.

I ordered a top for my niece a couple of weeks ago and it was fine! Only problem (well not really!) was that it was sent by courier and I wasn't in when they first tried to deliver it. However it was packaged in a lovely box and wrapped in tissue paper (was only a t shirt!) - box will now be used to wrap the present up in Grin.

Would order again from them.

I ordered a few things for my DD and found it great. Delivered quickly with no problem! Packaging was excellent.

Thank you everyone.

Morag- can I just ask if there was any problem with your returns? I would anticipate returning some of the items.

I have ordered twice from them and was really pleased. Everything arrived quite quickly, they sent me a text message on the day it was going to be delivered. Packaging really good, everything nicely wrapped in white tissue!

I ordered from them and had the items delivered to a store. No problems there but when I took the items I didn't want back to the store to return them they were a bit sniffy about taking them as some of the items were children's clothes which they didn't stock. I reminded them hat there own website said I could take them back to the store but they acted like they were doing me a big favour. I did get the refund but to be honest I wasn't impressed at all with their customer service. I think staff at Zara are infamous for their crapness.

Bristol store refunded my online purchase no problems. Clothes had arrived promptly. Website an abomination. Only persevered because I don't get out much.

Absolutely no problem with returns. They don't do it immediately but I got an email a few days later to say it had been done.

And I did return to store aswell. Kind of defeated the object of online ordering.

Thanks all. Would also return to store but returns quick (in theory anyway). I am finding it easier to try on the clothes in my own time rather than with children in tow!

Am feeling reassured so will probably place the order :)
