does anyone like them ?

My Dh and children laughed at me, and said "where's your horse?" Grin

They are really soft, baggy (the sizing is huge) and have an almost jodhpur/harem pant shaping

so comfortable

I like them too, lots and lots.

What shoes will you wear with them?
I'd like some, but stumped at the footwear to go with. ( I do not like the shoes in the picture, I'm a bit of an old fart shoewise, they have to be 'pretty' or 'useful' Grin

I know, BM, I am struggling with the shoe thing, tbh

I wore them with Converse today (which is a staple for me, tbh) but really because I can't decide what else will go, shoe-wise

Converse were ok, but not quite right

I don't do heels (like the photo) as am already 5ft 10, so I dunno Confused

ballet flats? brogues would be nice too?

Report
missbeehiving · 21/09/2010 21:53

yy brogues would be good if you want to go smarter than Converse.

Report
AnyFucker · 21/09/2010 21:53

yep, brogues

ballet shoes look wrong as the bottom of the trousers are elasticated

are brogues ok on a 45 yo ?

perhaps not

Brogues sound good.
And yes, fine on a 45 year old!

housesalehangup · 21/09/2010 21:55

Yes, get the brogues in a mid brown colour.

Age is a state of mind AF

Of course! If you were going to wear them with a kilt then I would be a bit Hmm but you won't be channelling Miss Jean Brodie in those trousers. They'll be great.

I love them. My thighs would fill them out though. WHat size are you?

Report
housesalehangup · 21/09/2010 21:59

Hooray! You know I have to go and buy these trousers now...am thinking that would work tucked into a short biker boot?

OracleInaCoracle · 21/09/2010 22:05

i find zara's trews impossible to wear! Im only 5'2" and while my legs are quite long, they aren't that long. am v Envy of you being able to wear them.

agree brogues would be fab! or lace up cuffed ankle boots? what top would you wear?

am usually a size 12, but the size 10's are still lovely and baggy

and the thighs are still loose, the cut is flattering I think

perhaps better on a tall bird like me though

AF I love these, I'm going to order some.

I love them AF but would be gretted with hoots of derision by family if I wore them.
I'm off to London today, so will pop into Zara and see how I look in them.
I am 6 feet- but find Zara long enough- just sometimes too short in the crotch area.
