What do you think about the tea-dress with cardigan and belt look?

I've had a bit of a magazine-a-thon over the last couple of days and there's a lot of this look about. I'm quite tempted, but wonder what it would actually look like on a size 16 42 year old rather than a stick like model.

You need to be thin. And quite young.

I don't think it's a frumpy look at all. I like it. Tea dresses have been all over the place for a year or so now and there are loads of different fabrics and price ranges. Go for it.

Oh Christ - that could be me.

Right then I'll steer clear, was going to make a tea dress, but have made the mistake in the past of spending hours making something very lovely only to find it looks crap on me.

I love it but can't regulate my body temperature sufficiantly to wear it! Cardigan needs to come on and off constantly throughout the day Blush.

Great! - no belt, though (unless you have super flat belly).

Better with longsleeve white/black T shirt underneath, more 'cool', and you can wear jeans under if you want to dress down.

I likeee... (39 yrs, pretending to be size 14, but really 16)
