Yet another plea for boot advice - chocolate or grey

After wearing two styles (Mukluk and the limited edition Anna Sui ones) of Fitflop boots almost constantly last winter, intend to invest in their latest Super Boot style this season. Got as far as deciding on the shorter ones, in suede/ nubuck. Sorry I'm not clever enough to link, but they are quite smart and unclumpy-looking, with a buckle.

Want a change from black, which all my other boots currently are (also have 'normal' short bikers and long boots).
Question is:- chocolate, or grey??

I'm a (very) mature student and wear jeans much of time - straight leg, with some jegging-like ones, and in various shades. Also sometimes skirts - think on the knee Boden style. My trench is navy and my winter coat is going to be grey. Will introduce a bit of colour in scarves, etc. Not a fan of being matchy-matchy.

I know questions like this have been asked before (and views on both Fitflops and Boden aired!), but any advice from you fashionistas appreciated ...

Go for grey as they will go well with your coats. I know you have said you are not a fan of matching but I think if you are going to have colourful scarves grey will go better.

and grey

If these poly then I prefer the chocolate. Though wonder if leather better with the weather...

I have had chocolate and grey boots in autumns past and tend to get much more wear from the chocolate ones.

chocolate every time. I think grey alway s looks a bit odd.

yes, chocolate is more versatile and copes better in winter.

Thanks for all thoughts so far - yes, Icanboogie, those are the ones. Was inclining to chocolate myself.

On suede vs. leather, know what you mean, but my 2 pairs of Fitflop boots last winter, both black suede, did cope (after spraying with protector) remarkably, despite snow, slush, etc. Perhaps because thick sole lifts them a bit above the ground? Certainly found that happened withFitflop sandals in the rain this summer.
