I want either red or tan shoes to go with navy. I do like the look of these but Im not good with heels.

Do they look impossible?

They are orange?? Not red or tan, what type of thing are you looking for?

I actually quite like them... but as there is no support around the heel I guess it might be more like wearing a mule... not sure if it will be that stable,

I like them Blush

I don't think they would be too bad to walk in - I have a pair of platform wedges that are a bit lower and they are some of my most comfortable sandals.

I think they're smashing. Much more flattering than dainty heels, and probably ok to walk in.

Not to go with that lovely Whistles dress????

god, Im colour blind!! I thought they were red.

I have no clue. All I know is that I bought these in grey in the Summer www.johnlewis.com/88927/Style.aspx

I wore them once and need to put them on ebay. Im no good with heels but it was the elastic more than any thing, I have very skinny ankles!! If I am just getting in and aout of a cab I guess I could wear them with navy.

what about these? www.johnlewis.com/88927/Style.aspx too boring?

You have a great taste in dresses it ts lovely, but an awful taste in shoes!

Report
OhBuggerandArse · 06/09/2010 15:11

Don't listen to them - the dress (which is lovely) will look much funkier with the red shoes than with strappy sandals or kitten heels or anything too girly. Go get them!

Yes to the red shoes, but those are clumpy gross things you might wear on a beach, she needs sassy, sexy heels....it is her birthday!!!

First ones Topsi linked to are OK, but not as fun as yours. The rest are a bit vile, really - ageing ladies out to lunch sorts of shoes.

Report
topsi · 06/09/2010 15:29

yeah sorry, looking back they wern't the best but the second pair come in red and the third pair in navy which will 'match' but still can't see those awful clumps with that lovely dress

Its a cracking dress, may I advise any woman who is curvy with big knockers to start shopping at Whitles? I have three and they are all a similiar style and all are so flattering.

Flip, Im going to have to go to Peacocks and get some plastic tan ones for now.

See, this is why one shouldn't ever really take style advice from people on the internet - for myself I think girly dress + girly shoes is too much, and you need something to funk it up a bit - but plenty of other people would tell you otherwise! You need to figure out what makes it work for you...
