without regular plucking i'd have a full and luxuriant beard. but i do tend to get spots where i've plucked. why? and should i pluck then moisturise? or moisturise then pluck? and if not plucking what else do i do?

I'm getting regular electrolysis there... it is slowly working, but will probably take several years in total (am going about once every 6 weeks on average).

Hot flannel to open the pores first, an dclean

The pluck.

Then I wouldn't do anything. By moisturising your are potentially blockin ght epores causing them to become spots.

I would let the area rest for a few hours to allow the pores to close then moisturise.

If that still doesn't work pluck and then use some astringent cleanser/clearsil or something like that to cleanse the pores. The moisturise later in the day when pores have closed/.

Always use a toner immediately afterwards. Pluck just after a bath or shower so that the pores are open and the comes out more easily.

got tweezerman. they are superb! as is the scary tweezerman magnifying mirror.

additional poblem is that now i'm old my skin is crispy and dry rather than greasy. so unfair.

so perhaps shower, pluck, toner then moisturise a bit later?

I got a Superdrug own-brand 9x magnifying mirror for about a third of the price of the Tweezerman one. Just a little tip for you.
