Duo Boots- please your help- best slightly tight or slightly loose with skinnies

Help ladies please.

If you wear skinny jeans tucked into boots, do you prefer the boots slightly loose- I mean slightly not gaping so you can get a finger down, or very snug? Which looks best?

Been to a Duo shop today and couldn't decide! So have had to order two pairs with P&P £20 Sad however, that is cheaper than my train fare to the store.

Ideally, I'd be a 33 calf but have had to get the 32 and 34. I will decide when they are delivered but wonder which "looks" best?

I've got both looser and tighter and have worn both regularly. The tight ones were brown just-below-knee zip-up plain flat boots (bought in 2004 so quite dated). I currently wear some black biker boots which are much looser but interestingly the tighter brown ones are more flattering to the leg (and I have slim legs).

Lucky you getting to a Duo store Purple Envy. What have you ordered? My Brindisi are on the loose side (ie. I can fit a finger in) whereas the other black pair (I think you have the same) are tight. Actually, come to think of it, they're different width fittings but the black ones are really snug IWKWIM. Think you'll just need to see what they look like with your jeans Confused!

Ooooh. I am planning on going to the London store. I have huge calves.

Millie- I have ordered Viola. I wanted Camelia but the ankle is very wide and creased a lot when I walked.

I decided i wanted brown and flat. I would havehad Oristano again but in brown this year but it is discontnued despite showing on web.

Viola is still a bit wide at the ankle, but not that bad. it is not exactly what I'd like- I would like a thicker/chunkier sole on a plain riding boot, but they only do those in black boots.

It is very small fitting in the foot- I have Oristano in a 37,(it is a tight fit on leg) am normally a 38 and have had to order Viola in a 39.

Despite going to the shop- train fares £20 ish- I could not decide on the width even though I took a pair of very skinny jeans with me ( and changed behind fixtures!) so at great expense I have ordered 2 sizes.

Saw some lovely KG ones in John Lewis but they were much too wide.

Advice for anyone thinking of buying DUO- do get to the store if you can as the boots vary hugely in fit - foot fit and ankle width.

Oh I really like the Viola in brown, Purple - very nice indeed. I also had to size down in my Oristano's - think Brindisi are my regular 39's. You do need to try them on, definitely - and postage is pretty expensive.

Tried two pairs of KG boots on myself yesterday - these and these - both horribly uncomfortable ... which is a good thing when I think of my bank account Grin.

I like snug.
I'm planning a trip to the trying on branch to have a good session Smile
And then go and drape myself over the topless man in Abercrombie and Fitch.

Millie- glad you like Viola- as I am quite short ( 5'3") they are not really mid calf onme and look like a knee high boot- almost IYSWIM.

MIllie I really like the first KG pair. I have some similar from Jones Bootmakers a year back but they are leather.
