I am on a tight budget for clothes and thought I am probably not the only one. I thought we could get a thread started with any good bargains you have seen. I will start with this lovely mac in Tesco (have put it on another thread so excuse repeat!). It looks much better in RL.

As well as any particular bargains, have you got any tips to share on saving money for buying clothes. Ebay any good? I keep thinking about it. Its a case of spedning £20 on a skirt in somehwere like dorothy perkins or getting a 'better' label through e-bay. Just been put off by not being able to return things.

I look forward to your replies Smile

I have a wardrobe of designer labels thanks to ebay Smile The main problem is trawling through all the rubbish to find the good stuff, so you need to be focused. What labels to you like/suit you? Search for them, then save the search and ebay will email you daily with a list of things you like.

Often I go shopping, find something I like, try it on to be sure of the size, then go home and find it on ebay. I rarely have disasters, but if you really don't like something you can always sell it.

Today I wore a Nicole Farhi skirt, Marni shirt and Sonia Rykiel jacket all courtesy of ebay, and bought for Zara prices.

Thanks for that. I am a little clueless with labels as they are so far off my bedget radar. Do they tend to be smaller than high street sizes. I am normally a 12 so do I need to look for 14?

I'm not very good for labels, but I second ebay, last week I got a Gap dark denim jacket for £5. Also very good for nearly new leather goods, I picked up a dune handbag for nearly half price last year.

I also spend time looking at forums for discount codes. money saving expert is really good for codes and offers. There was one on their yesterday for £10 off at La Redoute with no minimum spend.
