May be a silly q but does anyone do face exercises?

And has it made a difference?
I'm starting to see lines and the beginnings of sagginess and wondered if exercises help.

My mum has done all her life. We used to howl with mirth when we were children, but she is now 90 and practically wrinkle free. She was always being asked to prove that she was over 60 when she was in her 70s. So I would say go for it. i wish I had!

Seeker do you know if your mum followed anything in particular?

I've seen some gadgets and there's some stuff on youtube. I may have to start studying it seriously...

She read something in a magazine in about 1935! She just sort of wiggles her face about (unhelpful emoticon) in a way that amused her children immensly. She doesn't use a "device" - sounds scary!

I think this is the most well-known method - never done it myself though.

I've done them. DH says he can tell when I've remembered to do some as my face looks less tired.

I had a facial a little while ago and I was told my skin was rubbish, my pores were blocked and I had load of fine lines. I asked if there was any good news and was told "yes, your skin is plump and nicely taught".

I have now outed myself as having bad skin and a habit of doing strange exercises.

Aseaandthreestars do you follow anything in particular? How long do you do them for and how often?
(I'm excited at the thought of looking less tired!)

Take up French evening classes.
Seriously, don't they say that the strange contortions that French-speakers have to make are equivalent to a facial workout.

I do the Eva Fraser ones. They don't make a huge difference, but they do seem to give a bit of a lift around my cheek bones. And my eyes look a little bit more open and less dragged down. Hmm, it's starting to sound like a huge difference

There's also a small 'post-exercise' feeling, where the skin and tissues feel warm and worked.

I haven't done any for weeks and am now inspired to get started again. When I'm doing them properly I try do them most days - ten minutes when Eastenders is on mainly.

Give it a go. I'm sure you can't pull anything. I'll keep watching this thread in case there's a happy update.

Lol sloany

Thanks aseaandthreestars. I'll check it out. I'm particularly interested in avoiding sagginess around the jawline!

Off to google Eva....

I've always meant to look into this, wish I had when I first heard of it 15 years ago. Oh well. Thanks for the prompt OP!

So, I was just looking at the link WhatsWrongWithYou posted and part way through the first set of instructions:

...All the exercises are done twice, once a day 5 days a week. Choose a time when you are not tired...

lol. With two terrible sleepers under 2 1/2? Think I try it anyway

My Mum does some every now and again if she gets a bit jowly (he's 62) and they do work - I think its that Eva woman my Mum saw on TV.

yes, the wiggling face ones seeker's mum does and also looking at the ceiling opening mouth wide and then pulling chin up to shut it, good for neck

There are a couple of clips on youtube by Faceworks. I think I'll try them first and see how I get on.
