I have a little pot for brushes, mascara, eye pencil etc and then a fairly big basket for all the rest of it. I keep a little make-up purse in my handbag which has got spare nail scissors, tweezers, mascara and lip gloss and one or two other bits in it, and then when we go away anywhere I've got a soft case that I put things in to avoid taking the entire contents of the basket!

Like js1000. I've got those clear plastic drawer things from Muji. I just use a mug to store brushes.

I've got a huge drawer (with a child lock now ) tis good as I get to rummage.

I have various small bags for going away etc

I used to keep it in one of these until I got a Malm dressing table from Ikea.

I now keep in in two of these in my dressing table drawer and use the B&Q case for nail stuff.

a drawer divider (for cutlery) is good for storing stuff, i keep my brushes in an old baby food jar (probably baby pasta)

Report
cakeywakey · 11/07/2010 20:16

I use a plastic cutlery tray like Southeastastra suggests. It means that I easily can take it in an out of a (very high) drawer away from questing little fingers. Dark eyeliner is quite hard to get out of cream sheets (sigh)

oh I have one of those glis boxes for pens already - they are fab!
These are all good suggestions. We should have our own beauty manual.
